I have been receiving calls frm this # & 2 other variations of it for the past 10 days. If I don't know or recognize the # I nvr answer. If they are truly trying to get a hold of 1 of us & legit then they would leave a vm, right? Right! I loved reading some of the other comments, vry funny. I don't understand how or why these foreigners think they can scam "US" in2 falling for this crap. For some reason they think we ALL are idiots. Well surprise MF's we're NOT! Thank you to every1 who has posted their complaints and/or experiences its vry helpful. God Bless America!!!

I got a creepy call from this number yesterday that left a msg that sounded demonic... it may have been a fax machine from another country... sounded like a train from another dimension...

Only received 3 calls so far...  lol  told her I was in the bathroom,
Give me your name & number I will call her back,
She hung up

Caller identified himself as Oscar Jefferson with the US Treasury Dept...has a grant of $8,000 which does
not have to be repaid.  Advised that we are on the DNC list (not that it does any good).  Will report as usual...hoping the US Treasury has a scam site.  He told me to call Obama and the police if I wanted to...a
real jerk!

I got two calls in a row from this number.  Like the rest of the free world and China, I screen my calls.  I do not pick up if I do not recognize the number NO EXCEPTIONS.  This is a practice EVERYONE should have!  IF it is an important call THEY WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE.  If not, well, this is the way they conduct themselves...again, no exception.  I am just reporting the number as an annoyance so they are found out and stopped for now.  They will, no doubt, set up another number and start this again and, if they waste their time calling me again, this is the SAME THING I will do.  

This number keeps calling me and hanging up.

I told the caller in not nice language to stop calling me.   The moron actually called back and told me to watch my language.

I am not very good at looking things up and it took me all day.... OK I got a call form the District of Columbia and the man said he was Lucas Lee  fed Id number 50k9536  and he was calling on behalf of the federal government and they want to give me a one time grant that I never applied for but they pick me cause I paid my bills on time the last 6 months and I don't get into trouble and I have not filed bankruptcy on the last 6 months. I told him I thought this was a scam he said no he could prove to me it wasn't a scam he gave me his name I'd number and the address 200 southwest independence ave Washington no zip and he gave the account officers name Monica Lorie and her number is 2024703953  so I called her and we talked I am old her I felt this maybe a scam because the gov don't give you money you don't have to pay back and don't have to pay taxes on. She said I give you 100 people guarantee this is real and all I had to do was go to speedway and get a Green dot money pack reloadable card and put a one time fee of 215.00 dollars and she will load my grant money on my card while I am on the phone... I am old her I had to looking to this she said that fine we can do this today or Monday after I check them out. Now before anything was said about the fee the man asked if I had a prepaid card I could have the money loaded on and at that time I have an old card that has nothing on it and I gave them that card number I know I'm dumb I shouldnt have but I am canceling the card after I'm done here and that women is waiting on me to call her back with my money for the fee. I am calling the police too

Called again today.  This makes the 5th call from these people and I keep asking them to take me off their list and told them I was reporting them to the FTC and FBI

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Says I were selected for a government grant, told him I was not interested and hung up, well he didn't take the rejection very well and decided to harass me by calling 6x's plus the 1st call totaling 7 calls in all back to back, this is harassment, I'm 66 years old and disabled, don't need this harassment .

just got a call from this number. I have the call block feature on my phone, absolutely wonderful. I can block the number. Yeah for me. Tried calling the scammers. A recording comes on saying "all circuits are busy" which is a lie. Good luck scammers, nothing good will happen for you. Right, US banks?

We got the same call today from a man who had a heavy Indian accent also.  I pressed him for a number we could call back and he avoided my question several times and finally gave me the number 202 623 2184 and told me I would be speaking to Joan Carter who was the Federal Attorney General for the Fed Treasury Dept.?????  Joan Carter???  really?  (He originally said he was from the Federal Bank) and when he hung up he said you have been speaking to Mr Johnson....another joke! I know a lot of Scandinavians and none of them have an Indian accent!

They have been calling me for about  3 days now. Starting to get annoying.

My son received a call from this number. She could barely speak English. She said she was from the Treasury Dept. I said "oh really?" She said "yes" I asked which treasury dept. She was taken back and said I should know that. I told her I really didn't know, which treasury dept is this? She hung up.

The US Treasury Dept would not contact my son via phone call. This may be a treasury dept (for a scam company) but is it definitely NOT the US Treasury Dept.

Most scammers are not so rude and vulgar. Definitely stay away from this loser!

They have been calling me since yesterday throughout the whole day. Annoying. No messages left.

They have called me three times today. They left no message. Back in the past, I had this same call but the number never showed up. It just showed 0000. I answered to see who it was and it was an Indian woman with a thick accent as well and said the same thing. I said, "oh really? Well I'm unable to talk at this time l, is there anyway I can get ahold of you?" She hung up. I think its the same people but decided to have a callback number. It is really annoying.

Crooks and scammer!  Government grant through the US Treasury Dept, all they need is a cc# and/or bank acct #.  They called my mil too, thank god she knows not to give out any personal info over the phone.

this is such a scam.  they are inplying that they are with the US Treasury Dept and have money for you, all you have to do is give them your cc# or bank acct number. I told them I was reporting them to the FBI
