This is counted as phone harassment get the police involved and file a lawsuit they cuz what there doing is against the law !

I get calls dayly and I answer only a couple times but when I do they say I am approved of getting money for paying my taxes but I'm only 17 I don't pay my taxes yet so like why the f*** they calling me ?

Told me I could go back to school. I told them I didnt want to go back didnt like it the first time. They still wanted my info. BLOCK these people. DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFO .

I received a legit call from a VA rep concerning a request pertaining to assistance since I had been injured and out of work due to service related injuries.. Said he would get back in touch with me.
About an hour later I get a call from this "DC" caller claiming to be a rep stating that the government is offering me aid in the amount of 8000. Now, as I said, sine I was just speaking with the VA rep I totally didn't even think scam...until later..
I provided my info (stupidly). But, there's no money in the account (this ring the reason. I needed assistance to begin with) so, I'm hoping that nothing can happen but am still upset with myself for allowing me to be played like an idiot... It was all in the timing... B*****ds..

This is a scam and I have already notified the U.S. Department of Treasury, my phone company, and my local police department. This is now under investigation. They say they are from the U.S. Treasury and have free money to give me. They asked for information for bank accounts. I was told this number was not a working number in the United States with any phone carrier and that they are most likely using a SIM card from overseas somewhere. Please put out a notice out for other fellow Americans so they have a heads up about this scam. Thank you.

Got the call about a grant. I asked what it was for they hung up..

After they do their spill, I ask which branch of the treasury dept do they work for, telling them I work for the IRS.  They are quick to hang up.  last call was  3 months ago.

Same here but when I asked for his name he hung up.

Recvd a call from this number today.  The young lady was not from the Unites States but insisted she was calling from the Treasury Dept wasncslling to give me $8400 because I had not filed bankrupcy.  The caller went on to say she needed my bank info and when I told her to msil a check to me she hung up.  Like all others this number as appeared several times on my caller id.

I was called by this number October 30th. I have been getting so many of these phone calls that then the operator asks my name I say "Can I ask you a question?" And they always say sure. Then I say "Can you take me off of your calling list?" And today was a little different. She asked me "Don't you want to know the nature of my call?" And I said no, and she proceeded to tell me "Because you are the loser." And hung up on me.

They just called me saying that i won 8400 bucks, yeah right!!!! We can't even get jobs in this economy and the gov is giving away thousands of $$$$ ??? Scaaaaammmm

I live in Ga and this number keeps calling me they just called 5 minutes ago I cussed them out and the b*****ds called back what a bunch of crap and I have a unlisted number wtf!!!

Caller advised he was calling from the US Treasury Dept Grant section and they would provide me with $8400 in free grant money directly to my bank account or credit/debit card.  All I had to do was provide them with the account numbers.  Ha!  Not a chance - don't even fall for this.  If it's too good to be true, then it is.  When I told him to send me a check he said "That is not one of the options (actually he yelled at me)".  I advised I would be reporting him to the attorney general's office and he said "Go ahead - someone else will get your money".  Of course, he means he will get someone else's money if you give him your account numbers - DON'T DO IT!!!!

I have gotten many calls from these people, always an Indian accent, for the last 2 months. Sometimes they call from other phone #'s but they say the same thing every time. They always ask for Katrina (which is not me and I have had my cell # for 8 years). Then they proceed to tell me there is currently a virus invading my PC and they need to get on it right away. I have informed them a few times to take me off their list and they refuse. I requested to speak with a supervisor and the man on the line asks me why. When I did get the supervisor he wants to know why I won't let him onto my computer to fix a virus that is harmful. They refuse to take me off of their list because they say I am their customer. And they continue to call me Katrina (still not me).

I have finally resorted to the maturity of a 12 year old girl throwing a tantrum. I make an obnoxious continuous noise into the phone "Eeeeeeeeeee". That stops them for about two weeks. Another time I placed them on "hold". I was at the gym and set the phone down next to me an worked out. I have unlimited minutes and they waited for about five minutes before getting the hint. I didn't mute the phone or anything so they could hear what was going on around me.

I received a call from 202.666.5581 and the man with an Indian accent asked for me by my first name. Said he was calling from the US federal treasury dept. I said you are a fraud and don't ever call me again and hung up.... LMFAOF!!!

Why would you willingly give out your bank information to someone you don't know?

Just started getting calls from this number! It's interesting to find out the guy at the other end is trying to get account info. A few months ago Hewlet Packard had to get into my PC in order to hook up new software. He was from India , shortly after someone hacked my iphone. And stole all my contacts. I saw it happen. Called apple and they said nothing. Then the phone calls started as secondary line pickup. Like when someone picks up a second line. Please let me know if there is a pattern with anyone else?

just had 3 calls within 15 mins,  wish obama would stop calling me,, i pay enough in taxes already now he's trying to scam us with something else.  
and i downloaded a program on my Cell called "Call Control"  it's free and works great.  You can report this number but you all know the gov. isn't going to do a damn thing about it. and why in the dropdown menu under "call type" don't they have a listing for "SCAM"  so i have to leave it as "unknown"

Got the same call as others have posted about, saying I was elected to receive a grant for $8400 and needed to give my account info.  Told the man (with the accent) that I thought it was a scam since it seemed too good to be true and told him I wasn't interested.  He got an attitude and said I would forfeit the grant then.  I said yes I would.  Hope they quit calling.  Seems like a whole bunch of these odd calls have happened since I was looking at different online colleges and requested college info.  Anyone else get these calls after doing the same??  Just curious.

I keep getting this number calling my work cell phone. I can never understand what they are saying. Freakn rag head. One time I thought the guy said he was calling because my windows server is down. I was like WTF are you talking about he got really nasty with me. I just hung up. Second time he called I told him to F off.  I never answer.

I have received a call from this number mentioned above.  They said that they were calling from DC and it was a government matter.

GOT A CALL AT AT 5.59 PM 10/26/2013 I DID NOT PICK UP .

I have litterally gotten called 2-4 times per day over the past 3 days. He keeps saying that the government has money to give away and all i need to do is show an interest in getting an education. He is Indian or somehitng, can barely speak english, the first time i told him he was sorely mistaken, as the federal government doesnt have money to give away. He assured me that they do, and I assured him that the country almost went bankrupt a few weeks ago and that they most certainly dont have money to just give away. All the other times I have asked and aksed them to stop calling me, and sure as shootin they call me back!
