How do I stop this scam group from calling me?  Do I call the police?  Is there an official site?

I received the exact same thing today because I answered the call finally.  they've been calling me for a month.  Who do I report this phone# to? 202-666-5883.  Do I call the police?  I really want to do something.  Does anyone know?  It showed DC -they say they are from the US treasury with a grant....the whole story...everything I've read on this Blog warning.  the Melvin Smith person said there is "a Catch"  I thought that was strange phrase to use....to pay a processing fee $200+ to get my $8040. from New York Bank.  There has to be a way to shut these people down!?

Calls all day. Finally answered and told them not to call me. He told me he knew where I lived and confirmed it by telling me my address.  He said that he was coming to my house tonight to f..k me. He said a lot of nasty things. That he f...ked my mom every night. Made sure to say he was coming to my house tonight. Never said what kind of business they are. Very nasty.  Don't talk to them. They already your info. Sorry about the language left a lot out. First time I've had a call like this.

I've gotten the Microsoft calls too, and they come from an 'unknown' number.  I went round and round with a guy said his name was "Todd Sullivan"  (did not fit the voice, let's just leave it at that) and told me my computer had a virus and that he needed a number off my unit.  I decided to play 20 questions with him while my husband was looking up the info on the computer, needless to say the conversation didn't go anywhere, and when I asked for their telephone number or address, they hung up.

In the last 2 days I've received about 10+ calls from this number.  I do not answer because I have no business with anyone in D.C.  I did try calling back a few times, and it rings back busy.

I tried calling back to give them a piece of my mind after listening to my voice mail (a man said, "f*** you Ana!"). But when I call, it says all circuits are busy.

I rejected this number because it was unfamiliar and assumed it was a telemarketer. Then, I was notified that I have a new voicemail from the number. Whoever left the message said this, "WELL F*CK YOU, ANA!" and the pathetic excuse of a man hung up.

These phone calls keep coming in from 202-666-5883 to my home phone.  They called 3 X's in 3 hours and since that time have again called.   This is every day now. I don't pick up the phone but I would like to know where I can report this  in order to stop the calls.  There have been other #'s also and one I did pick up and they said they were from Microsoft and that my computer had been compromised and that he would help me fix it.  I told this man I could hardly understand that I did not have a computer and he hung up. :)

Received a call from a guy that said he is "Officer John Smitty" from the Us Treasury Dept and he has some grant money for me. I asked how did he obtain my number and he said, it was because of my good history paying my taxes and not filing for bankruptcy in the last 6months,my phone number was chosen. When I told him I am not interested in the free money and he can give it to someone who needs it like a homeless shelter, the caller hung up. This is a scam and I have blocked the number and reported to the Better Business Bureau.

I have been getting calls from this number for a week.
It just calls and no messages are left.

I just received a call also offering me $8,400. as a grant from the government.  I would not give them my bank information or a card number they asked for. I said they could mail me a check and was told no and when I would not give the my information they hung up. I received this call on my cell phone and tried recalling from my house phone and it said all circuits were busy.

Ok, I've been getting these calls for two weeks now, like 6x a day.....We haven't answered the machine until today....I had read everyone's responses to these people...they called stating that I will get a government grant...I told them the govt doesn't call you up on the telephone to give you grants.  Then I told him it sounded like he was from china and he stuttered and stammered....etc.. so .'If you want to send me the grant do it by mail; so they asked for my email address and I said no, In the mail; 'by mailman?' I said yes...then I asked if they had my address to which he replied my city and state and I said I want confirmation of my street address and he hung up.

Got 3 calls in one day from this number. They stated that I was selected by the goverment to received a Goverment Grant of $8400, they take your credit card information and they give you someone name to call back and contact a Mr. Melvin Smith at 202-391-0969. they provide a code LN516
they sound like they are telemarketer and they also have your home address.
After calling the 202-391-0969 they say you have to pay $245 to recieved you money in 20mins.

I get called twice a day every weekday from this damn number. I answered once and nobody was there. Another time I answered and it was a solicitor about some medical crap. I told him I would fry his mother in oil and sell her at a BBQ restaurant. But they still call me every day

Some Arab dude calls me about 10 to 15 times a day threatening to kill my family and calling me a "motha f****". This s*** is not okay. Wtf government, stop selling my f****ng phone number.

I have gotten call from this number numerous times and they say they are from the US Government Grants Dept. This time when I told them I hadn't applied for anything and that they needed to quit calling me he said and I quote, "F*** you, listen to me." And I hung up.

Got call from this number. I just won $8428.00 grant from the government but to receive it I needed a checking account number or a credit card number.  When told them I did not have these hung up

I believe this number is generated from a survey taken when I applied for food stamps
I have received other telemarketing calls which are related to the info on the survey

Got 2 of these calls...no one there, no message the first time...what bothers me is the number itself...202 is D.C.'s area code the prefix number is 666, the number of "the beast", i don't know the meaning of the suffix number 5883
