1st I received an OUT OF AREA call & shortly after that I received this call out of Washington, DC from 202-683-1404.....I didn't answer since I believed it was a solicitor calling.....what is this???

Wow this is total BS I start getting junk mail & spam and crap after i fill out the request. Now need a new email cause of them! Still I can do much about the mail box...

It's a recorded message saying that you're eligible to receive up to $25,000 in grant money that you'll never need to pay back, etc, etc. The recording prompts you to visit their web site and fill in your e-mail address and phone number. If you do that, you'll just get more calls plus spam. Don't fall for it; nobody's giving away free money.

Got a call from this number 12026831435  telling me to call the 12026831404 for free grants.Didn't respond for the first 10 seconds before going to a recorded message. Annoying as hell. I'm wondering what's the point on having my number in the do not call list if they're calling me.

Yes, if you want to give me money just give it to me.  Don't call at all times of the day when I am busy & leave me messages which are a fraud anyway.  Since the economy is getting so bad people are calling to try to take away what little money you co have.

I received a call on Friday evening at 9:21 from Cash Grant Institute saying that I could get up to $25,000.00 in grant money that I would never have to repay.  I just needed a valid e-mail address & telephone #.  To e-mail requestagrant.com or call Capital Hill at # 202-683-1404 today.

I received a call from the Cash Grant Institute on Fri. Dec. 12, 2008 at 9:21 saying that I could get up to $25,000 grant money that I would never nave to re-pay.  All I had to have was a valid e-mail address & a telephone #.  Just e-mail requestagrant.com or call 202-683-1404.

These people want you to go to a website (requestagrant.com) fill in some info so you can pay shipping for a cd/dvd, and try your hand at getting a grant.
It's BS, just ignore them.

I dont know what this is but I am sick of the calls. If you wanna give me money, GIVE IT TO ME! Don't harrass me PLEASE

Just received a call from (202) 683-1442.  Before calling I got online, and oh yea it is a scam.

I also received a 1800.00 check in mail from some company that does secret evauations of companies looks official .I call number no answer just that machine is full

I recived one of those calls from whom knows what company.
Tryed calling back, and was told that the mail box was full.
I am going to try call the Better B. B.

Calls and no one is on the other end. We're on the no call list, too.

I got put on their list when I applied for a credit card through Visa and Mastercard's websites (I went directly, not off a spam email).  No sooner did I click "Submit" on my online application, then I started getting HUNDREDS of spam emails.  I was approved for one card, but turned down for the other.  Apparently the credit card companies sell your name faster than you can get it onto their website.  I was really disappointed; I really would like my credit information to be kept a little more secure and confidential than it was.  I also received a call from the requestagrant.com people.  Any service like that that ends in ".com" I'm immediately suspect of.  Usually things that are legitimate like that have a ".org" or ".gov" after the web address; just a word to the wise.  Also, any web address for a service like that out of Hong Kong immediately becomes suspect in my mind.

this number has no one on the line if you answer..but if you don't answer they will leave a message about govt. grants..the problem is who calls about grants at 11:00pm...not a happy camper..

get this- I got the $25000 grant call on my home phone @MIDNIGHT!!!!!!!
that is definitely illegal, plus the fact that I'm on the do not call list.

I keep getting these calls from this number when I answer they don't say anything and hang up. Usually at night.

a telemartketer, selling grant money info, from the DC area called my phone! i'm so mad i could spit!!! this phone is registered with the National DO NOT CALL list!!! so why are you calling me??? is my phone company selling my number?? they better not be, there will be a revolution by the people if that is the case!!!

Well i am glad i goggled this number we were scammed once not happening again ,thank you for your feed back. Is good to have people who care about other people. I am definitely reporting this number they should not have access to any ones number with out permission.

called me yesterday, I got excited called back after work, no answer, I left my e-mail address, yay spam.  I'm def. on the do not call list this is wierd!

Received a call from this number on my cell...how dare they use up my minutes!  No one answered but it's still annoying!
