*WARNING* Do NOT, i repeat, do NOT answer this call. I just received a call from this number, the caller ID said v WSHNGTNZN1 DC. This is NOT requestagrant.com, this IS the FBI registering your phone so they can tap it! DO NOT PICK UP. I know why they're registering my number, i did some things that are totally legal however the government, im sure, wouldnt approve of it. DO NOT PICK UP WHEN THEY CALL YOU.

I am recieving numerous calls from this number every day on my cell. I filed a complaint on the do not call webb site. If enough people complain maybe this will stop. Good luck to all.

called at 3:30 it was silence then it said "that is not a valid extension number", the call then ended the number traces back to Manchester, DC which on Google maps leads to several locations in Washington DC.

Requesta grant has called me every day on my cell phone for the last 4
days
Lisa 2009-02-12 22:25:30 Unknown
I also got a call from them today at 3.30pm and I live in DC. Fortunately I wasn't home, otherwise, I might have thought it was someone I know or another legitimate caller. I have an unlisted number on my landline but am amazed how many sales calls like this I get EVERY DAY! Fortunately, they do not get my cell, because I answer all calls there.
Btw, I think it's a bad idea to call ANY of these numbers back to tell them to put you on their "do not call list." Most do not obey it. By calling you only confirm you have an active number. I really wish there was some kind of electric zap we could give these people at the other end every time they harrass us! That would probably put a stop to it!

Received call on our VM from 202683141. "Not a sales call" but then left info on 'getagrant.com' for free money. Sounds like a Kevin Trudeau scam to me.

They've call me after going to there site. Bottom line hope everyone is filing complaints with the FTC and the FCC for wire fraud. Also notify the Washington Attorney General. The more complaint the sooner they will act.
Katherine 2009-02-06 23:24:52 Unknown
They've been calling me and I was looking into it so I'm glad I looked up the number this time to see what it was all about.
Metal 2009-02-06 22:45:08 Unknown
I am on the do-not-call list.
Judging from the voice mail, they may think it's okay not to obey the do-not-call list because "this is not a sales call".
Of course, their own web site betrays a different belief (http://requestagrant.com/abuse.html):
> Affiliates that send spam or make calls to people on the Do Not Call list will be terminated.
Note: The Caller ID below is what showed up on my phone. Your guess is as good as mine.

The call was from Request-a-Grant in Washington, DC @ 202-683-1441. This scam is sophisticated. They not only called my phone but while I was listening to the meesage they called again on my call-waiting so they had both lines tied up.
Angel 2009-02-05 22:48:05 Unknown
Got a call from them and I answered and said hello a few time. Nobody was there, I hung up and 2 minutes later I had a voice mail. Checked my voice mail and it was something about getting federal grant money. Deleted message and didn't call them back. Anytime you get a call from someone offering you free money you can pretty much be certain that it is a scam. You don't get anything for free in this world.

Recieved a call a little while ago and didn't answer it. Googled number and it was from requestagrant.com. Goggled it and came back a scam. Seems like requestagrant.com is getting information of people that least need it, like any of us do at this time in the ecomony. My own personal option is that they're somehow getting information from government agencies. Just report it to the government and hope for the best. Seems like everything we do we have to give our information to someone which causes us additional grief somewhere withing our lives.
