Wrong Vegan Dave, the Do Not Call registry applies to the company employing me, as a mere employee I just do what I'm told so I can "specifically meet the requirements" necessary to keep my job.

To Call Center worker:
The Do Not Call Registry applies to you - no matter whether you think that your call is harmless or not! You are not legally allowed to call anyone on the Do Not Call Registry unless you specifically meet the requirements for an exemption.

It could also be a computer bug. Many call are made through a computer system. I don't see why someone would waste time making so many call for nothing.

Has called 4 times today so far and it's only 2:00 PM. Never left a message and when I answer, they hang up. Caller ID says "User 31 465-9786" but when I *69, it dials this number (202) 684-8290. Why hide your real caller ID and then hang up if the call is answered? Smells like some form of fraud to me. Or maybe they just get paid by the number of calls made and answered, even if it is a message machine answering.

this number called my cellphone and said I had qualified for a $7500 grant from the U.S. govt.They gave me a number to call which was disconnected.Beware of this number as they tried tried to gain sensitive information.It is possible they may be involved in identity theft.

This- 202-684-8290 called today Oct.16, 2012 I said hello they didn't answer..I said hello again they didn't answer....a few seconds later they hung up. I called the number right back and it said the number was disconnected or no longer in service.

Yes, I'm getting calls from 202-684-8290 and I'm on the do not call list....just go to donotcall.gov and report the phone number. The more people who report them, the better

This number called me earlier, I picked up and there was nothing but silence on the other end.
