Your scummy calls are the least of the problem.

Charity navigator rates your outfit 0 out of 5 stars. And the real purpose of the calls is to line the pockets of the scum that run the boiler room errr I mean "call center" (LOL). According to them, your fundraising eats more than 54% of your take, with the rest going to "administrative expenses" and so forth (BTW is that before or after the boiler room operation gets its cut) --with maybe a few cents left over so you can publish some fluffy press releases to make it look like you're a real charity. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. Shame on you for coming on this site and LYING about it.

It's a blight on real charities and people really trying to do good that an organization like yours even exists.

If you are visiting this website we suspect you are concerned about telephone calls you have received from the American Institute for Cancer Research or AICR.

We sincerely apologize if our calls have upset, offended or inconvenienced you in any way.

You may have registered with the National Do Not Call List and wonder why you have been called.
You should know that charities, nonprofit  and political organizations are exempt from the National Do Not Call requirements.  However, we don?t want to call you, if you don?t want to be called.  It is AICR?s policy to always honor a request to not be called.

The easiest way to be removed from future telephone solicitations by AICR, is to complete our Do Not Call form at www.aicr.org/dontcallme.

Once you complete the form we will suppress your telephone number from future fundraising campaigns.

The American Institute for Cancer Research is a national cancer charity focusing on the link between diet, nutrition and cancer.  In our most recent fiscal year (2012) where audited numbers are available, together, research and public education programs accounted for 65% of all expenditures, with fundraising 22% and administration at 13% of expenses.
It may take up to 72 hours to remove your information from our telephone fundraising campaigns.  If you would like to speak with someone you can reach us at 1-880-843-8114 weekdays from 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time.

We hope this information has been helpful.

The American Institute For Cancer Research callers are one of the lowest rated "charities", as very little of the donated monies goes to cancer related projects, but into the pockets of the organizers and paid telemarketers! Plus they are perpetual pests who call incessantly, and never leave a message , which is a clue they are not legitimate.

We shouldn't be so hard on this person. Some people actually post their number on various sites! Those folks fall into class of intelligence lower than that of doopa, which can't be mentioned here.

>>> Please stop harrassing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <<<

I'm going to start saving up stupid requests like this posted on this board by anonymous people.  I then will consider filing a petition with the FCC to require (as is the case with many radio licenses) that people who want to use the Internet pass a test to determine whether they be allowed unsupervised access or not.

I am seriously considering changing my phone number and [having to] pay for a private, unlisted number.

Yes, I have the Panasonic phone that blocks up to 30-numbers, but all these places change or spoof numbers on a regular basis.

I have diligently been keeping track of ALL numbers since November 1, 2012, and I'm seriously fed up.  ...If I could afford the $100 for the Digitone's Call Blocker, I would.

I'm just miffed that ATnT doesn't offer a FREE Service.

When we refer to AICR as a charity we are giving them the benefit of the doubt. "Melvin" and the boys take 90% of all donated monies to pad their own pockets.

Melvin Hutson is the Chairman of the Board for the AICR. His phone number is (864) 241-4000 and his email is mrhlaw@bellsouth.net. His fax number is 864-421-0441. If your tired of getting calls from his charity maybe send a note to his office asking for him to remove your name from their list. Maybe, once he starts to see the amount of people his charity telemarketers are harassing daily maybe he will adopt some change in their collection tactics.

No reasonable way to answer that.  It depends on the hardware you are using to block calls.
