DoNotCall List does not work because it's run by the government.

I just got the call, and I have to recommend these people. Not only did they pay off my mortgage, but they sent a lovely young lady to my house to walk my dog and give me a Swedish massage. Just kidding. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick up, they left no message, and I came here to see what it was all about.

Call came in at 1:46pm in Calif.  Caller ID is "V20514463400016" so I knew it was a spoofed number and I did not answer.  This is a FAKE call. Our phone number is on the federal Do Not Call list, which these scammers try to circumvent.

Called me today at 2:07pm.  Didn't recognize number; didn't answer; they didn't leave a message.  CallerID said "Wireless Caller"

Called the number back, and got recording:  You have reached homehelpact.com.  All of our representatives are busy blah blah blah......

I am in area code 562 (southern calif) they call at least twice a week. Nobody ever on other end.

Has called many times in last 2 weeks.  I picked up this last time so I could report them.  It's a "survey" asking about mortgages, which I answered incorrectly just to see how far I got and perhaps I could get a company name and report them.  Apparently not far enough, because I was disconnected about 10 questions into it.   So now they'll call again and share my number, sigh.  Spoofed number.

I thought I could get rid of caller ID after disaster the 6th. Now it's still just a string of lawbreakers ignoring the DCL. Step up to the plate BHO and get us some relief. Still haven't got any on my cell.

Just received the same call. Didn't answer but caller ID said Washington,DC so they're probably trying to jump on the Presidential Election bandwagon.

I agree that this is a telemarketing scam.  Out of curiosity, I participated in the "survey" in which I could select yes or no options by pressing "1" or "2" on my phone keypad.  After the fourth or fifth question, I was asked by the garbled computer voice if I would more information about refinancing my house.  The only option given was "yes".  This is an attempt for telemarketers to try to circumvent the rules of the do-not-call registry by disguising their sales pitch as a survey.  It's a shame because legitimate companies that conduct real research polls get hung up on now because people suspect they are running a scam.

The do-not-call registry worked beautifully for years, but now we are getting all sorts of annoying calls.  I only answer because my parents live overseas and their number often comes up as unrecognizable.

SCAM phone telemarketers...if they were legit they would not have to hide their true identity and true phone number from you!

Every single day this number (202- 695-2612) calls twice a day.  Do Not Call My Home Again..... If no message is left on answering machine it must not be important. So back off and leave me alone.

This number has called my home every night for the last two weeks.  It's definitely a scam.  I'll be sending my report to AG in AZ and FCC tonight.  They need to move on to a different state.

We are making these calls to survey homeowners to see if they have heard of our award that Arizona was given $267,000,000 in bailout funds and are asking if they want to meet with a counselor for free at the event we are holding next Wednesday and Thursday. This lets homeowners in crisis meet with a counselor to see if they qualify for assistance.  Our survey asks if those called have heard of this money and 83% have not, that is what is truly sad.  We are trying to spread the word and do good and this survey helps us do that.  

go look at www.azhousing.gov and see for yourself.  Help your fellow americans in crisis and stop complaining.  Maybe your time would be better spent telling people about the hardest hit fund.  You can find all this information at www.homehelpact.com.

I agree with Harry.  I keep getting calls from this number and I will NOT pick up.
