These phone calls may stop after the election, but what about the other calls I get each day ... from a different # with different sales pitches... security systems, cruises, "no one on the line again" ? ....  I wish my caller ID was in large print so I wouldn't have to get my glasses every time the phone rings!  Sometimes I'm watching TV and it flashes on in the corner but I don't sit in front of my TV all night.

We get these calls from many different numbers in the 202 area code.  You block one number and they just use another one.  Like cockroaches.  I noticed that there are a block of complaints from back in May, and now they're recycling that phone number in Aug/Sept.  Caller ID is the best invention since the phone itself was invented.

NEVER EVER EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. Period.

These criminals are not associated with any political organization. They are using your gullibility to steal your money. Know the signs. Caller ID stated wireless caller, according to FTC and FCC rules, Caller ID must be accurate and during the call the caller MUST state who they are affiliated with or the organization/company who is making the call. Plus, YOU CANT USE FAKE/SPOOFED numbers.

I fear that a lot of people have fallen for this scam. If so, please contact your local police department, report the call to the Do Not Call list and immediately contact your bank/credit card company.

People, during an election year, if you want to give, TRUST ME, there are probably plenty of worthy, well known organizations, political groups, etc in your area, or state wide that you can ACTUALLY visit (offices, campain fundraisers, etc) to donate. Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Plus ALL political organizations will opt you out or SEND YOUU INFORMATION THROUGH THE MAIL.

Please report these calls to the Do Not Call list and other appropriate authorities and more importantly, WARN OTHERS.

Calling both cell phones and home nightly at least once per night ... make this stop!

I agree with that.   I've been getting 1 to 3 calls daily for at least the last  month from these 202 "Washington  DC" numbers.   The calls at best steal money using lies and/or perpetrate a character assassination of whomever they claim to be representing -- not to mention the constant interruptions and invasion of privacy.   Wish that there was a way to send 50,000 volts of high amp current back through the phone lines and cremate their worthless a***s on the spot.

I have received calls from this number o multiple occasions.  Please put me on do not call list.

These political calls are from Obama supporters who are trying to annoy people and get votes for Obama.  The timing of the calls (meal times, early in the day, etc.) plus the in your face message stating that this is in support of Romney and begging for money makes their intentions very obvious, to turn people against Romney.

I am continually being harassed by these 202 area code calls.  The last several times 202-695-8604.

You can thank your kindly federal government (FCC) who ruled that these telemarketing creeps have a "right" to call and harass people with "offers" for junk they don't want in the first place unless you go to the extra effort to log on to the "do not call" register.  The FCC then proceeded to exempt a whole host of pile of people who could continue to call,  "Do not call" notwithstanding.  If you order and provide your number to the seller, they in turn make that number available to others,  so I give a non used cell number anytime I order and the phome number is "required".  Also,  I NEVER answer the phone if I don't recognize the caller or his number.

God whoever these people are do not give up for nothing! They call my house like 4 or 5 times a day and I never answer and let it go to the machine. They always hang up and never leave a message. I saw something on Nightline the other night about how these people are getting around the Do Not Call List and it really makes me so crazy! I guess it was just all for nothing to put my name and number on it if its not going to do anything. Thank God Lord Jesus Christ I dont have to pay for this and thank you whoever created caller ID!!

Same thing.  Getting them nightly at dinnertime hour.  Answered tonight.  Just an open line, no response.  Tried calling the number back and got a "sorry this number is disconnected" msg.  Super annoying.  Which political party machine is awful enough to use this service.  GAH!

Five nights in a row, dinnertime hour, let VM get it four times with no msg, picked up one night to nothing, not even a computer robo-click, just open line for 60 seconds or so until I hung up.  very annoying.  when will these idiots learn that they will LOSE business or political support with this irritating calls.
