Same issue as above for me too....reported as spam

Forward the text to 7726. It will be investigated and blocked by your cell provider.

So, I got a text message on 6/8/2013 from 202-697-6505 as me if I was "first name, last name". I immediately suspected malicious intentions and decided to find out who had that number. After reading the posts on here, I strongly believe this is a scam and right now I am trying to report this number to every office I possibly can- my banks, e-mail clients, identity theft offices, etc. I never replied the text message and nobody should NEVER respond to such text messages and Don't call back...

Crap I fell for this and they just sent it to me again.  I sent it to AT&T and reported it as spam.  I guess I should change my password to my email accounts

someone asked me to verify my name and prior to me know that it was a scam, I did. My husband said that this is a scam to steal your identify and personal information by hacking into your email. aviod at all costs!!

I just received a text from this # as well stating about a job opportunity.

Also had a text from this number, asking if I was so and so, with my full name ....

I had the same experience.  They offered a job put will only provide details on the position once I send a Yahoo email address.  No other type of email address was acceptable.  I'm thinking this is an identity theft scam of some kind.

i received a text message from this #. i am unaware of who it is but they knew me. so i am looking to find out who this # belongs to. it is somewhat disconcerting that someone in Washington DC knows me, but i do not know them.
