I received a call from federal grant dep of Washington dc... numbers starting with 202 they told me I received 8,000 and that I had to go to western union and transfer 250 to the Philippines to someone called Soledad de la Cruz... they have an Indian accent and she calls herself Victoria jones and Shirley smith. and there's always a white man answering the calls.  don't fall for this scam I unfortunately did but I cancelled the money order right away and thank god I got my money back.. be careful what people say if u qualified for the money u shouldn't have to pay to receive it...

Yes is fake, i called and they hang up on my because i was asking for information about the grant. I am making a complaint to the federal trade commission everyone should do it.

Just got a call. The fact that they said I HAD to go today, couldn't disclose information to anyone else, and had to bring money is obviously fake. What a waste of time.

Same story.  A Cristy, with a very thick accent, called and told me that I was eligible for $7,800 in grant money.  All I had to do was go to a Western Union and wire a $250 "Security Deposit" and I would get my money.  They also said not to tell Western Union that the money was from the government as they would charge a processing fee.  These people are scam artists.  Report them to your local authorities and/or Attorney General's Office.
