Why did you call me

Calling me about my computer.  Not interested when I told them I did not have one!

I got the same call telling me I was downloading malicious files from the internet, they probably want me to download their file that will help them get at my files. I wouldn't do it!

I got a call from them saying I had a virus called wind32 and wind 47 on my computer.  They wanted me to go to a website irssupport.net and click on share files.  I didn't as they would then have access to my computer.   Sounds like a scam

i got the same call DO NOT GO TO irssupport,net SITE IF THEY CALL HANG UP ON THEM.  download vipre anitvirus software and run a scan.  this site is spyware and whoever is calling from this number is a hacker it downloads a virus that allows the person to hack your computer

Got the same call at 2:45pm Sat Oct 30th. Sounded suspicious claiming to be from Microsoft and trying to track down a bug that is affecting 50k people on the network.  Said they tracked it to my network.

Irony... Only machine on was a Mac... hence my skepticism.  I would concur that this is a scam.

These people called my 76 year old mother who does not even have a computer, telling her that "her computer" was downloading malicious files...  seriously.  Can these scammers not be stopped?

recd call from man with India accent saying he was from Microsoft windows warning of errors and virus and saying to connect to irssupport.net for free protection.    My wife suspected this was a scam and asked for number and contact person after he said the virus protection plan was not free and would not leave info.

I also got a call from this number and he said the same thing.  Strangely, the number comes up on my caller ID as a DC number, but he said he was calling from India.  As he (Nick Adam) tried to get me to log on to the computer, I refused and told him I wouldn't do anything without my husband being present. He tried to convince me I could do it, but I figured it may be a scam.  He called me back the next morning, but I had already googled the scam and knew about it.  When I confronted him and told him that I wouldn't go along with it, he became rather abrasive and began to curse at me, telling me I was an idiot for not trusting him.

I just got the same call: man saying he was with Microsoft. When I told him I had no Microsoft products, he then said he was with APPLE/Microsoft!! I asked him what he wanted and he said "You're connected with a wireless, so you'll have to get a new computer". Hahaha!! Needless to say, I hung up on him.

More of the same - phone rings, and when I answered, some sort of "click", then they hung up.

I answered the phone and it started ringing agian & someone from (it sounded like the Carribean) another country answered...I stated you called me & hung up. We are starting to get strange calls from unknown numbers like this...what is going on?
