How annoying! I get calls from this number all hours of day and night. I would like to scream!!!!

Had this call a few days ago (repeat caller) and looked up HNTB ... an engineering site. Probably NOT who is really calling!  We weren't home. No message.

This is one of those phone numbers that is taken and attached to some other party for some unknown reason.  It is NOT party offiliated but is trying to mislead people into thinking that it is.  Everyone seems to be getting a different Title in their caller ID and most without a message of any kind.  Just ignore the call because if you answer, you will continue getting calls.  They are trying to bait you and figure out what time of day you are home and willing to answer.  This happens to us a lot and we may get calls several times but, eventually they stop.  However, some other source usually starts it up for some other reason.  All in all, I don't think we will ever be able to stop the calls even with a do not call list.  It's best to try to ignore them because we all know that they always continue, in one form or another.

A friend of mine got a call from one of these numbers and figured it HAD to be political.  Ordinarily she just hangs up on these calls, as do most of my friends, but she was having a rotten day and decided to take her wrath out on the caller.  She got a recorded "why you should vote for Romney" message that invited her to stay on the line to talk with a live person who encouraged her to make a donation.  He suggested $100 as an amount that could be put to good use.  She told him that she'd love to, but being part of the 47% now living on medical assistance, it just wasn't happening.  She thanked him for his time, told him to have a nice day, and hung up the phone.  I think I have a new hero!

Another annoying call..ID shows District of Columbia.

I just received a call from this number. Caller ID said "HNTB Corp.," which is disturbing, because that's the name of a Canada-based engineering firm, in an industry I report on as a journalist (which is why I picked up). I can't believe this company would be engaged in lobbying activity at this level. There's either some mistake or some deceit going on.

CAlled by this number on 9/27/12 at 6:11PM. Called by this number and several other area 202 numbers today.  I did not answer and did not allow the answering machine to answer. There was no caller ID, except the number.  If the caller had any courage, he would have shown a caller ID.

Did you even bother to look up HNTB Corporation, it is not them calling you it is a scam, whoever it is is calling my home every day, and it is not anyone for Mitt Romney, if I were to guess it is a super pac for Obama, they will do anything, and I do mean anything to try to win this election.

A call from this number just came in.   Didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number.  I don't know anyone in Washington DC that would have my home number...   Has to be polical???

Caller let answering machine pick up  & period of recording  noise   but left no message.

This number keeps calling my busines and leaves an annoying message with a probable required introduction that is so fast that one can't make out what the motor mouth is saying. I do not support Mitt, think he is dangerously stupid and want them to stop callling me! Anyone know how to get them to remove my number? Plus, this number is on the do not call list so they're actually violating the law. Idiots!

I have a list of seven (yes, seven) 202 area code numbers, this one included that have been calling regularly for several months.  I never answer them and only two of them left a message.  One said they were sorry they missed me but will call again and they do.  Ballsy, aren't they?  The other was such a vile, disgusting message about our President that it really shocked me.  It was filled with hate way beyond the fact that Obama is our President.  I'd be so ashamed if this came from the GOP but I tell myself that they wouldn't go that far.  Maybe the time has come to disassociate from all parties.

As far as the money seeking calls,  they probably aren't legit political party calls.  They are out to get your credit card/bank information and rob you blind.  The parties don't need to (or would) randomly call people asking for donations.  There are so many safe alternatives that exist for someone to donate to their party.

Caller ID reads Washington D.C.   It would appear that Mr. Romney is jumping the gun just a tiny tad!  Has his lists of supporters confused with the Dems too!  Ah well...I guess if you make 100 robo calls and confuse enough people you may collect a few pennies.

Area code 202? This is an election year. Government groups will be deluging Americans with public service phone calls (which are legal if they are soliciting contributions). We will not be rid of these horrors until after November 6. Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Boucher. Those are the facts. If you see area code "202", do not answer the call. (I get a couple of them every day now.)

These scammers have been calling for months (even though they have been blocked for awhile).  Is just another bunch of criminals seeking to separate you from your money.

I don't care who it's from.  But, no matter what they will NOT keep me away from the polls, either.  I won't stay away from the polls over political robo calls.  My vote will count.  I'm sorry there are those who won't go over this nonsense.  But, one thing I do know...I will vote, and will not throw away my vote for any nonsense.  No one buys my vote, and I do not donate to any political party - ever!
