They have called me maybe 10 times in the past week. They also managed somehow to find my parents' number and have started calling them. Thanks for the heads-up, everyone who took the time to research it a bit.

Apparently this company is a "large investment and real estate company" with job openings. I did sign up on several job boards but I am a Registered Nurse so there is no way this is legit. I assume that somehow I agreed to allow anyone to call me by agreeing to the terms of the site. I've blocked them and I guess I'll see how that goes.

Received call from 202-719-2133.  Ask for my first name which I do not go by.  I said yes.  Asked if I was looking for a job.  I said no.  Disconnected.  Very strange.

Don't worry,  I'm positive this # has nothing to do with the healthcare website. I'm the same as everyone else,  I don't answer my phone from unknown numbers. If it's important they will leave me a msg or if it's a friend from a new number they know to txt me. I've gotten a crap- load of calls from all these crazy numbers in the last month (I never answer but always check online where they are from just in case), d.c., Jamaica,  northern NM, crazy weird numbers that don't make any sense,  And then I realized that these calls started just about the same time I started looking for a job!  So I'm thinking these sociopaths got my number somehow from the sites I've posted my resume on(I usually post it w/out personal info,  just my email address visible & am usually very careful,  only use reputable sites). Who knows what these crazy criminals can do these days. Another reason this is frustrating for me it's cuz my son lives out of state with his dad & I never know when I might get that call.....u know..... mom I want to live with u, dad is an a- hole (he really is,  but I'm not worried for my son's safety, he's bigger than his dad & I have family in the same town). Anyway,  I know it's very annoying, but this had happened to me before and if u block the number,  either by putting it on the reject list on ur phone or putting it on the "block" list on ur acct on ur carriers' website (I have Verizon- not sure if other carriers have this service) they will eventually stop.... unfortunately,  I'm sure it will always start again at some point,  but I guess that'stheprice we pay for technology. You just have to be smart about it& stick to the VERY old saying. ..... If it's too good to be true,  It probably is!  Good luck!   ;-)

This is suppose to be a job board, however, the woman was asking me personal questions and when I said those are illegal questions she immediately hung you.  Everytime I call back these thieves disconnect me.  Do not give them any information.

I also got a call from this number several times today. When I eventually answered, they asked me to complete my information for their job website and I told them to remove my number from their calling list. Seeing as this isn't the first time I've unwittingly gotten my number on a recruiter's list, I'd imagine that they've honored the request.

So, the next time you get this call, just answer and tell them to take you off their list.

P.S. Once again, I'm pissed off about this. I just wanted to apply for ONE job that was listed on Indeed, but because the sponsor of that job was Care.com, I was forced to create an elaborate profile and make a commitment to their clients.

Got calls several times a day. Finally answered one and the woman on the phone said, "Um hi, can I speak to ..... um,....Ryan?". It took a second for her to figure out my name...or the fact that she called...or maybe just how a phone works in general. Pardon the pun, but its uncalled for. Take the hint already.

Not associated with Affordable Care Act.  The short conversation I had when this number first called (shows up now on caller id as "Jones Lang Lasalle) the woman asked me if I was looking for a job.  I said yes and asked was this a job I had applied for, she hung up.  Number continued to call with no message so I called back and selected # 2 to be removed from their phone number list.

AR -- look at what I posted.  Hope this helps you.

BTW, have you noticed how many schools offering degrees (in a short period of time) keep popping up.  Well, especially for those offering a paralegal certificate/degree here in California (I have no idea if this applies to other states, but I have a feeling it does), if the course is NOT approved by the American Bar Association aka "ABA," the certificate or degree is worth NOTHING!!  The scam victim has wasted their time and will have to pay the cost for this education, and it will have no value.  Employers seek paralegals who have gone through an ABA-approved program period.

I have also observed that SOME employment agencies or employment websites are fake.  There are so many people looking for work to the point of applying for jobs that they are waaay over-qualified to perform but, in total desperation, they apply for them in hopes that someone will hire them.  More and more employers are either leaving the state they are in because their costs are exorbitant, so that leaves a large void in that state's job market.  Some people have "done the right thing" and have gone to respected, well-known and accredited schools and have obtained high degrees.  Perhaps, they had the opportunity of working in their selected field for a time, but then due to the bad economy, they were laid off.  Hopefully, they can return to the job market.  But, most of the time, they cannot.  They are still liable for their educational costs, but cannot get a job to meet their responsibilities.  So, they start losing their homes and worldly possessions because jobs are scarce.  It's a Catch 22 situation.  My heart goes out to all those parents and/or students who have either sent their children to school or put themselves through school and then, no jobs are available -- except for the debt of their education.  I am sure that many of us are in the same quandary.  I wish I had a solution, but I do not.  Best of luck to all of us.

My wife received this number calling her every two hours. When answered the other end disconnects.
I called the number back and it comes in as snag-a-job...  Now if someone wants to talk to us, they should dial it in person, not a computer. I/we don't have the time to keep answering a dialing computer.

I just thought of something, when an undesirable person, company or whatever wants your phone number --- give them the (202) 719-2133 number and have THEM bombarded with calls too!  What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.  Right?!

A LOT of employment websites sell your information to other companies.  It's a SCAM!!!  Look what happened with Target, Neiman Marcus, and other companies that will not give their name out (watch the news tonight and you might just hear this as I did this morning on ABC Channel 7).  Folks, as crazy as it may sound to some people --- GO BACK TO CASH AND CARRY!  Whenever you use your credit card or debit card, you are putting all your information in cyberspace and are at the mercy of these scam artists.  Whenever you pay off a debt (car, etc.), all of a sudden you start getting mail from credit card companies.  These bozos want to keep you in debt, so be smarter than them and NOT DO IT!  If you do not, you will NEVER be free of debt!!!!  It's a vicious cycle only YOU can break -- nobody is putting a shotgun to your head to fill out that credit application for a card, you're doing it all by yourself.  If you enjoy the chains of debt, continue doing it.  You will be better off keeping the money you have earned in YOUR pocket, not theirs.

I decided to look up (202) 719-2133 and I got to this website.  As I was reading all the commentaries, I received another call from this Washington, DC number.  The person asked for me and I said, "This is she."  The woman then said, "Hi, my name is Shelley and I am calling from JobsRadar.com.  Are you still looking for a job?"  I said, "No," and she hung up on me.

I looked up JobsRadar.com and it is a so-called FREE job search service that will help you to create your custom FREE resume and will help you find a job.

I suggest that anyone who receives repeated calls from this entity, just answer "Yes, I am ________," so the caller will give you their name and company name.  Then, report them!

Another suggestion, if any of you decide to get online and go to the Publishers Clearing House website, BE VERY CAREFUL.  They repeatedly and very often bombard you with ads for whatever product is subsidizing their endeavors -- magazines, food services, whatever.  DO NOT CLICK ON ANY OF THOSE, JUST "X" OUT OF IT!  You are just trying to enter the contest right, so why do you have to go through a plethora of ads for junk?!!

Same thing applies to employment agencies!  MANY OF THEM post jobs that are non-existent.  How come the exact same job, in the same city, the same title, same pay, are always available.  We called this one famous employment agency on this fact and the person ADMITTED that they post jobs that do not exist, just to see what response they get.  There are much too many well-educated, experienced and unemployed persons who WANT and NEED and job, so why play these games with us?!

IF there really IS a job available, then there are 1,000 people applying for the same job.  So, your chances of getting that one position is slim to none.  If you do get lucky, it is only a temp-to-permanent position.  However, it very seldom materializes into a permanent job because employers are cutting costs.  They do NOT want to pay any benefits.  If you are receiving unemployment benefits and refuse to take this job (perhaps 75 miles one way from your home), then the EDD penalizes you!!!!!  Yes, you heard correctly!  The agency will report you for refusing the job.  It does not matter to the agency whether you have to walk, crawl, hitch a ride, steal a car to get to the job or whatever, as long as you accept the job at a little above minimum wage.  If you have a large-engined car that uses what you receive per hour for this job ONE WAY, then you are out of luck ---- YOU ARE WORKING FOR FREE!!  The "at-will" clause that has ALWAYS been in effect for years, is now being utilized more and more by employers.  However, it goes both ways -- you, too, can quit if you do not like something the employer is doing.  But, if you are on EDD, you will be penalized for quitting.  A Catch 22 situation, no matter which way you look at it.  If you come in one day with a hairstyle or attire they do not like (but did not tell you what the attire was for this job), then, they can fire you.  If your perfume bothers someone or you are too nice or polite, and someone becomes suspicious of your "motive," they fire you.  So, you are damned if you do or damned if you don't!!!  Sad, but VERY true!
