A person called me from this number asking me about my accounts and telling me that they work at wells Fargo at a local branch. Super shady.

I missed a call from this number also. He left a voicemail and introduced himself as Travis. He said that he was from Wells Fargo and wanted to talk to me about my mortgage. Similar to a recent post, he gave me the phone number to the local branch. I, too, tried calling back but no answer or voicemail.

Ha just googled the number curiously after missing the phone call and attempting to return it. and glad to see these comments, thanks

There is something fishy with this number

I just received a call as well. He left a message saying his name was Julio Montoya from Wells Fargo. He knew my first name. And asked for me to call 703-442-3656. What scares me about it, my area code is from NY, not a local cell phone and called "representing" a branch near my home.

Claimed they were Wachovia. Offering free checking.

yeah its a legit number, I didnt recognize the number so I let it go to VM, turns out it was my brother who works there.

It was a girl from a Wachovia branch downtown calling to make sure I'd received good customer service (I'd been in the branch several times the day before) and to try to sell me on the Way to Save account. Legit but interesting....

Its a Wachovia Bank branch located in Dowwntown DC
