Just received a call stating that it was a government grant from the Dept of Health and Human Services for the $7,800.  Callers ID was Adam Gilbert.

I've been being these calls a while now. First they were calling from an unknown number, then the number listed above. Free money, who does that. There's nothing free, especially when you're putting your money up to receive more like the representative explains. I tell them that I don't have no MONEY, then they ask me to call back when I do. Bi*** please! These muthafuckin people must be out of their minds.

Just got the call. Called in, they explained grant and amount and then asked if I was INTERESTED, strange question lol. I said " I'm not sure yet" and they  just hung up on me lol. Guess they knew they weren't gonna get no where with me!!!

I got a call from this number it is a scam! They said I had 7800.00 grant money... I did not bother to call the number they gave me.

I have had many calls from this # and they try telling me that I am going to get 7800$ for a low back fee of 225$ and they will refund it back to me with 7800$ also they won't stop calling and are really good salesman to don't fall for that s*** and if u call back the # back it told me that number is not in service.

Yes this is a scam they almost got me but I had that feeling hell no 7800 my a** n u want all my info saying the money will be there in 20 minutes lol yeah ok thank god I ain't fall for the lama

You have to apply for a grant to actually get one.  You also NEVER have to pay money to get a grant.

I got a call from John cooper from (202)738-1393 offering me $7,800.00 free gov't grant money. just $200.00 to get the money transferred to my account. My smart husband told me to google it and as I read above looks like a scam and won't be calling it back :)

I got the call from Govt. grands department that I have granted 7800 dollars for being a loyal citizen, have to take a money bank card from Walmart and have to deposit 200 dollars. The phone number given was  202 738 1393 and the person's name given was Francis cots.

Just got the same call.Told me they were the Government and was told the same thing..:(  $200.00 to put into the dot Card and give them a call so they could transfer the money into it. Free from any taxes and said no to use it for illegal things.

I have been getting these calls all week.  two times today. I was told I had grant monet form the US Govmnt.  the first one I told him to loose my number. The second one wa a woman.  I told her send me all the information.  She hung up.  I think I recognize the number from about a month ago.  

This number keeps calling but I did not answer the phone because I don't recognize the area code.  Too many scams out there for me to answer without knowing who it is.

I got call about 1:30 hours ago it was same thing gov grant giveing you $7800 you go to walmart or cvs buy green card vochar it cost $4.95 then deposit $200 and we sand you $7800

If you had read the previous posts for understanding, you should have realized it was a scam.

Things to believe:

* There ain't no such thing as a free lunch (TANSTAFL)
* If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
* You have not won big bucks from an unknown government benefactor
* The tooth fairy really does not exist
* Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
* It is illegal to pay money for a loan, BEFORE getting the loan!

Got a call 30 mins ago. From that number saying I won. Grant money 7,800 dollar but now saying to get a green dot card from family dollar to get the card to take the money had to put 200  dollars on the card than call them back knew it was a scam from the start....

Offered free money from the government
