This is a Joke...  I got a call from the same phone number saying that the Governent will give me $7000 grant and all I have to do is go to money gram and purchase some gift card from ebay for $150... Its a SCAM!!! no one should fall for it

I read this post before making the call...
I answered a call from an unknown number and was told to call 202-738-1682. I called and listened to the other end. When the guy said $7000 i flipped out and got real excited. (again, i knew it was a hoax before I called, but he didn't). I got hyper and my voice inflections started getting crazy. He said congratulations. "How would you like to recieve this money?" I said to send me a check. He said ok. I'll send it and give you a confirmation call in the morning.
Just before he was about to hang up, I asked him what my address was. What address was he sending the check to? He hesitated for a moment and said that he wasn't the guy to write and send checks. I asked him again what my address was...he hung up.
I had tons of questions left to ask him like: What is our first ammendment? Who is our secretary of defense? What is our First Lady's name? Who is our vice president? ... how rude of him to hang up on me.

They just call me and tell me to deposit $150 to green dot money pack and me idiot fell for this..
Their # (202)738-1682 and also John Parker.. Now they want $110 for S&H.. This John Parker hardly speek any english. Now after reading this posts I know I just say goodbye to $ 175,- . Well is not the first time sombody scam me for some money..Hope is the last time...

yea what got me is they said this grant is for people who have not been convicted of a crime in the last year hell i just got outta prison this year WTF

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

I was smart enough not to do that!!!!!!

I got a call from a mark and saying I would receive a grant but I had to send 150 it was all a scam I can't get an answer.

They tried to take 149.00 for registration and said I'd receive 7000 grant free from the government

Mf's said igot approved for a $7000 grant, sent them $150 for registration after isent that asked for another $300 to activate mah Western Union track# which sounded dumb as hell soo when irefused to send &asker if this was a scam they got defensive & kept redirecting me....ispoke too a woman named Mark Walter & sum dude named David Morgan...SMDH

they took my money $150 first then $680 second and promised that id get a 8500.00 grant in my account and never happened and wanted me to send them another $790.00 for taxes then id get my money i spoke to SAM MARTIN! took my money and now do not answer any calls..SCAM big time!! ( 202) 657-6360

big time fraud ...  This people needs to trace.
