Same story here, I'm on the Do Not Call List too they called me months ago trying the same thing but the guy sounded Asian & hard to understand. with wind blowing in the background.

Yes same thing happened to me. I knew it was a scam, when the female who had a deep east european accent would only accept my "Grant info" if i gave her my bank account or credit card number.
She did however know my first name when she called and asked to speak to William:

A part called me from this telephone trying to get me to give them by bank account number as they wanted to deposit $10K and sai they were with "Government grants Dept."

same here. Voice on original call sounded almost computer automated. $10200 grant money would be great if it was reality.
