Got a call from 2013214382- abt grant for $7000- told to call a eric Johnson gice money conf of gc787 and call 2027384185

DO NOT GIVE THESE people your info, and please tell your friends and neighbors about these people. Please it is a SCAM
IF YOU WIN ANYTHING IT SHOULD BE FREE. AND Government grants are free, you may have to pay a 20.00 dollar processing fee. that it. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONEL INFORMATION, TELL EVERYONE.

This woman called me this AM telling me the government wants to give me a grant for 7000.00.  She could barely speak plain English.  And wanted me to call this #202 738 4185 and talk to Eric Johnson.  I didn't call and a few minutes later she called back to ask me if I had called.  I knew it was a scam !!!

Those b*****ds got me for 300 bucks. I was too dumb to think quicker... why are they calling my phone? Hindsight: I gotta be more careful...

they told me the same thing and they took my money and that i needed 800 more to be sent out the state of washington dc

Just received a phone call from some guy saying that I am eligible for $7000 government grants. And he asked how I wanted to receive it. I told him by check, but he told me that it's either one of my accounts or cash. So I picked by cash, and he told me to call (202)738-4185 and ask for Eric Johnson. So I called and this Eric guy told me to go to wall mart and get the Green Dot Money Pack for $4.95 and deposit $310 as a security deposit. And after he asked when can I deposit it, I told him the next day, but really I just wanted to check them out first before I do something stupid . Good thing I was not the only one who received this call. Thank you guys for sharing your stories.

I know I pissed him off calling me trying to rip me off lease can I'm not crazy blind deaf dumb or stupid. Then he asked me do I have a hearing problem or do I have a short term memory? Then he said in my country
But he didn't say in our country so I asked him if he even in the United States. So he been hung up and I then called him back just a push more buttons. Mark Bowman at 2027384185/2026215429 is his worker!!!

Just received a call about being awarded a $7,000 grant from a random citizen search based on my credit worthiness. I was asked how did I want to receive the money.  When I told them cash they asked me to go to a CVS or Walgreens or Wal-Mart to purchase a green.moneypack card for 4.95 and place $310 on it for verification.  The rep explain that he would stay on the line with me until it was finished.  When I asked for the address and Federal Representative supervisiing this department; and that I will have to call back for verification of the offer, he hung up on me.  NOTE: Nothing is Free.  Don't be deceived by scammers!  Remember, if someone (even the government wanted to give you FREE money, they don't have to contact you, they can just send to you. Right?

Lol....the same indian or pakistan guy just called saying im a good citizen only 17 ppl have been selected for $7000.00 dollars....lol i have to send 300 western union....smh....the struggle is real.....who really has 300 dollar to send to a strange person....please be aware of these scam artist

I just got a call from this number and its not the first time they called me I am geting very sick and tired of them calling they said I will be getting a grant for $7,000 and I can get it though a bank account cash or debit I just want them to stop calling my phone everytime they call me I will post it on here

Said I'd been chosen to get a 7,000 dollar grant but had to go to western union to get it and leave a security deposit of  300 for identification security. That I'd get the money back and that they no longer sent paper checks in the mail. It was a foreign man and woman.

Got a all from this no. And knew it was a fraud call.he asked me a bank acct. no. So I told him if he thinks I am stupid to give him that no? And he kept on insisting and persuading with a bad temper and an attitude....beware...never give out ant personal info.

Just received the exact same phone call as above. When I started asking him hard questions he hung up on me.

SCAM ALERT

I just received a call notifying me that I just received a government grant for $7000.  I knew it was too good to be true.  Thank goodness I have LifeLock!!!  I didn't give them any account information.  When I said I wanted the money in cash, I was then given 202 738 4185 to call and ask for Kelly Jones.  They even went so far as to give me an "approval code"!  Ha  RC031.  Watch out for these fools!

I got a call from 12026215429 and was agreed for name an address the given a code signs asked to call 12027384185 i the cover see you'd me i was adopted for a grant a** i couldn't hear her very well so she stays giving me an attitude if you ask me this is fraud an these people need too be stopped immediately

I too received this phonecall...this its what you call a social engineering attack.  That is when people attempt to illicit information in am attempt to deprive you of your funds.  Do not give them any information and if anything don't confirm anything other than what you have already given.  If you have banking information, report it to your institution immidiately.  Good luck and remain vigilant!

I received a similar call just like the previous posts.  I was told that the $7000 is a grant from the US federal government.  Sounded to good to be true.

I got a call for a $7,000 grant as well, the woman gave me this number to call 202-738-4185 and the guy tells me I have to put a $336 security deposit down on it to get the $7000 and they'll give me the security deposit back as well!!!
Government does not call private phones, and government never send money by mail or western union!!!

Just got a call for a 7000$ grant. Guy said he can send cash by mail. Then gave me this # to call 2027384185

I got a call from them.. Luckily I said I want it in cash that way no information of my bank was given. After getting a call from an 846 area code they told me to call this 2027384185..

I received the same call to day. They know what they do. bcareful.
