These guys called and left a message on my home phone. I called back and told them them they're not the IRS and they immediately hung up. P**sies.

There was a message on my answering machine today from the same number. The guy who is heavily accented was claiming that there was a lawsuit against me from the IRS. The guy didn't give a name. I am glad I searched the internet. Thank you everyone for your posts.

I also got a call from "Dean Jones" regarding a lawsuit from the IRS!  Damn scammers, may they burn in hell.

My wife got a call from a person claiming to be an IRS agent and saying that she has not paid taxes for the last 5 years and that the police was coming to arrest her. She freaked out, called me and I called him. I called and after one ring he answered the phone saying it was the IRS. I asked his name and employee number, he said his name was Max Gamble and gave me an employee number very fast. I asked again and he could not come up with the same number and started to ask me who I was. He had a very strong Indian accent. I said that I was going to report him and he hung up the phone.

Individual identified himself from immigration named Dean Jones. Leaves message that the INS is filing a lawsuit and if he does not reply, he says if you do not respond, he says "I wish you good luck." Responded to caller, speaks in heavy accent and when confronted uses bad language and hangs up.

I just got a call from Ronnie from IRS.Asked him his location and ID number so my accountant can call him.He hangup the phone.Some F***ing indian calling with heavy accent to scam money out in the name of IRS.Beware people

My call said that I had a lawsuit against me from the Immigration Department. He concluded by saying "if you do return this call, all I can say is Good Luck as the situation unfolds on you"!

Thanks for your posting I just rec'd a call telling me its the Revenue Service 202-751-2565 my lawyer need to call them back.  I was a bit concerned so I looked up and phone # they left  only to find out its a scam.  THANKS to all who have posted on this blog.  They need to penalize these people.  How much elders have they rip off and got away with it?

I received a similar phone call from a man with an indian accent claiming he is calling from IRS threatening to arrest me unless I agree to pay $2400 he claimed that I owed the IRS. This kind of scam is totally unacceptable in a civilized society. I hope he will be caught for such outrageous harassment against ordinary citizens.

Received two calls today from this number. Called back several times and spoke to Max. The last time he threatened my safety and hurled abuse! The number is disconnected now. Perhaps a timely drone? One can only hope!

I am an  IRS Agent , and an Indian is trying to pull the scam on IRS Agent. I keep getting IRS calls for a while now.  I acted like I am not working for the IRS, and he  said that I have 3 cases against me, two from IRS and one from INS or Homeland security.  These A$$holes suggested that I pay up via phone using my debit card for a tune of $1200 to avoid any arrest and jail time, so I informed him that I am an Agent with the IRS,  he Just hung up on me.  What a rip off.  IRS never calls, even if they do.. they give their name and ID #.  Beware of these Scams.

Same type of message as those above. A man named Max Gamble with a heavy accent calling, saying that the IRS was filing a report against me. Called Twice in the same day. Such a scam.  

Just called the number. A guy called Ronnie ( Americanized Indian accent ) answered the phone. Told him to stop calling me as getting calls from the number. Just hung up on me.

Got the same call from MAX. Just hung up after hearing "Hi, This message is for you.

Received the same phone call from this number that the IRS is suing me and I have to call him back. He said his name was Max Gamble. This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

a male with an Indian Accent called and left a message on my home phone, when i called back he said that a warrant for my arrest had been issued and I need to take care of it, I instructed him to my Lawyer were he asked to have the lawyer call him. his name was Max.

A male with a heavy accent left a message that IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and that it was urgent to return the call.  I asked my accountant about it, and he says the IRS would always correspond by mail, and this is an old scam that has been around.  Internet searches seem to agree.
