On Feb 19  2013, I received a call from "Agent David Green" who says he was with the FDA  and he gave me his badge number (FDA agents do not have badge numbers) and  said that my name had been "given up" at customs by some people bringing in illegal drugs into the country from Dominican Republic.  He said that a "bench warrant" had been issued for my arrest.  Now tell me folks, do you really think that a legal arresting officer is going to call you and give you the heads up that you are going to be arrested?  No!   If that was the case, we would all put our running shoes on and running like dogs. (that is if we were guilty and  I was not).
The number he called from was 202-769-5241. He had a latino accent .  My very close relative who is a policeman called this man back and the little scammer hung up real quick.  People like this belong in jail  rotting because obviously they are of no account to anyone.

i received the same type of call from a 'Will Ramsey' calling from # 202-570-7775 ext-2127, I even called my local authorities who informed me this is a scam. No one can issue a warrent for your arrest unless it goes through your local Sherriff Dept. Please DO NOT be concerned about this SCUMBAG!!

Called my home and left voicemail claiming to be an agent for USFDA--Special Agent John Tanner.  Said that I needed to call and resolve matter with the office of criminal investigation or a bench warrant would be issued for my arrest.  Total scam.  I went to US DEA website and reported the scam to authorities in the Atlanta office.  They said they had received numerous complaints and provided a number where I could file a detailed voice complaint with as much detail as possible about scam including any fake names and return numbers provided.  This is an total loser that couldn't pour water out of a boot if he was told the instructions were on the sole.  Don't be fooled by this moron and do not waste a minute worrying about this!

I received the same phone call from Will Ramsey today with saying if I didn't call back, a warrent would be issued for my arrest.  The number he gave me was 202-769-5240, no extension.  I called and spoke to him.  He said he was a special agent with OCI of the USFDA.  He told me I was being investigated for medicine I bought over the internet 6 years ago and that I was going to be arrested and sent to jail for 5-7 years in the Dominican Republic since he said that is where the medicine came from.  He was very rude and said that he was calling to have me arrested right then.  I was really scared and left my house.  Later I checked online and found out that this is a scam.

To all of you who were contacted by John Tanner, call the Federal Trade Commission and report his name and the phone number. I just did that and they are looking into this illegal activity. This scumbag is trying to target vulnerable people to get their card number in order to steal your money from your account. Also, report it to your local newspapers, post it on facebook and call local television stations and tell them about the threats. Hopefully, this will be stopped soon. Just a note to John Tanner, F*** YOU!!!

When I answered, nobody replied.

I just received a voicemail from someone claiming to be John Tanner Special Agent from the USFDA. He left instructions for me to contact him back immediately and if I didn't a court warrant would be issued for my arrest. THIS IS A SCAM. I have reported this incident to the proper authorities.

I received a voicemail this afternoon around 1:30pm from a man who identified himself as 'Special Agent John Tanner with the USFDA". He instructed me to return his call to the OCI (Offices of Criminal Investigation) ASAP. He stated that if he could not reach me by phone and get my full cooperation, that a 'court warrant would be issued for my arrest and proper steps would be taken'. His english wasn't very good and the connection was choppy, making it difficult to understand.
I received a similar call back in Oct 2011. Same area code. Same type of story. Special Agent so and so with the DEA, conducting some investigation. I ended up doing quite a bit of work (contacting local authorities), internet searches, etc. before finding out it was a scam.

This person called identifying himself as a Special Agent for FDA---doing an investigation --threatened agents were on there way to arrest me.

I just got the same call from John Tanner.  After reporting the information to both the USFDA and the DEA, I phoned back to tell them not to call me again, as I had reported them.  I was then subjected to screamingfoul language through the phone.  I am guessing that government representatives do not speak in such a fashion to suspected criminals. Wow.

Got the same call from John Tanner threating an arest warant. Thank God for this information from the internet because it scared the hell out of me. I will ignore the creep!

I too received a message from a Mr Tanner today saying he was a spec. agent from the USPCA? not sure what it was dist 9 food n drug admin. Gave me 2 numbers to call back at with (both the same) only the second one he said was OCI and there was an ext#2247. He did say he knows I can hear this message and if I don't respond they will send out a warrant for my arrest. The backround sounded like he was talking outside or had a really bad connection.

Uggh. Got a message from Will Ramsey or Ramos? Couldn't understand because the english was a joke.Anyway, the message said if I didn't call back a warrant would be issued for my arrest. he claimed to be from the usfda and was a special agent. The number he called from was 202-769-5240 ext. 2127. Of course I called back and heard a poorly recorded message saying all agents were busy and there was no way to dial the extension. I reported the call but only after I left a message. I'm betting they call tomorrow.

Got a call from John Tanner today saying he was an agent with the FDA...left the phone number 202-769-5241 ex 2227....He threatened me that if I did not return his call that a warrant would be put out for my arrest. When I returned the call a woman?s voice said all the agents were currently busy and to leave a message...I hung up and looked up information at the FDA website...The website said this is a scam and has been happening for a few years. Recommend reading the information on the FDA website to protect yourself from scumbags like Mr. Tanner.....

* The FDA phone extentions in DC use 5 diget extenions (not four)

* His english was a little "off" and not professional.

* He did not mention what the problem was but threatened me if I didnt return the call.

don'T worry about him this is a scam there is another guy named john goodman who does the same thing they want you to send money for a fine or they will have you arrested for buying medication over the internet. If this were true the FDA would do everything in writing. I called back the number and some woman said everyone was busy and to leave a message I told them never to call my number again and that they were being investigated!!!

I just got a call from the same guy.  He didn't sound legit, but he sure scared the crapola out of me!   So how did you handle Mr John Tanner?

This is the number of the same person, John Tanner, claiming they are from usfda and he acts like he is talking to a dispacher and they have an arrest warrant for you from customs and border patrol. They say they will be there in 3 minutes with a warrant for your arrest. I told him he was a scammer because I checked him ut online. He says how dare you call me a scammer you scumbag.....
