Received call from 202-764-1198. ID was DITCO DSTW.

I have no military connection so there's no badda-bing here!

DITCO - Defense Information Technology Contracting Office
DTSW - Defense Telecommunications Service Washington (also DTS-W)

DITCO DTSW acquires and administers telecommunications services for the Department of Defense (DoD) within the National Capital Region (Washington DC).  So this is what appears on Caller ID when getting a call from an organization within DoD that uses this Service, similar to when the name of a company or the company switchboard number appears on Caller ID instead of the caller's name or number when being called from some companies.

The call I received had a caller ID of "DITCO DTSW" but was from a 703 exchange. It's a US line for contractors working in the Middle East.

DITCO DTSW is some sort of military telecommunications system used at a locations in and around the DC area.  There may be other areas involved, but my personal knowledge is about the DC area.

I have a relative who is doing contract work at the Navy Hospital in Bethesda.  When she calls the house, the Caller ID always says "DITCO DTSW".

I received a call this morning from (202) 685-6892. When I looked it up it says that is the Command Duty Officer at the Washington Navy Yard.

What do they want from me?

DITCO DTSW is from the National Guard Bureau.

I got a call also from DITCO DTSW 202-685-1387... and nobody answered my hello... rather strange..

The number I received was 202-685-6892 caller ID "DITCO DTSW".  It was a fax sent to me from the Washington Navy Yard.

SAME HERE, BUT MY NUMBER FROM CALLER ID WAS 301-394-0534 DITCO DTSW.  WHAT THE HEC DO WE DO??????????  HE CLAIMED TO BE FROM THE US MARINE COR.  VERY STRANGE AND UNWANTED!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just starting to get these calls... 202-782-0889...

Did a little detective work (that's how I found THIS site), and also figured out how to get the thing to respond (held it up to the range top fan while I was cooking dinner... finally kicked in :-)

To make a long story short, it was an automated voice call from Walter Reed AMC reminding me of an appointment.

Ya'll think back... did you have a military medical appointment a couple of days after the calls started?? Then did they stop???

I'm going to harass the heck out of patient services tomorrow...
