I am also contacting security and investigation authorities asap.

Yes, I too got a call and they were asking for social security number, back account number, credit card details and PIN, etc. i gave them all the details! I am worried.

Landmark Teleservices calling former subscribers on behalf of Washington Post.  In addition to my phone number, they had my address.  Previously had a billing beef with WAPO and canceled my subscription.  WAPO wanted another chance.  Offer was $1.99/week for 26 or 52 weeks, with bill sent by mail.  That is much better than regular $6.95/week offered by WAPO directly.  Like reading the WAPO, but their subscription practices suck big time.  They are probably barely this side of illegal.  Took the bait anyway.  Will see how it goes.

I told the Washington Post she-boon who answered the phone that I would put a voodoo hex on anyone who calls from that number or any other number wanting to sell me that liberal s*** rag.  Haven't heard from them since :)

I don't subscribe to the Washington Post, nor have I ever placed an ad with them.  Wondering if they outsource this function and it can be for any publication you subscribe to.

I was finally able to figure out that this is Landmark, a company calling on behalf the Washington Post.  Makes sense because I canceled my subscription to the Post last week, so they have my number "legitimately".  They're trying to push subscriptions.  Your best bet is to call the Washington Post directly and tell them to remove your number.

Just got a call from this number.  Didn't answer it.  I really want these calls to stop.

Call, hangs up as soon as I pick up. Call them back and put myself on mute to find out who they are. As soon as they picked up, I pulled the same stunt and hang up. By the way, they have been prank calling every day for the past 2weeks.

Need to block these calls.  Received three calls to date.  Caller does not leave message.

Have tried calling this person or persons they don't answer their phone or it is a busy signal.  I did talk to a person once and asked for my phone number to be removed but they hug up and did not give me an answer.  This is horrible, I just want them to stop calling.

I got a call from this number.  I did not answer but no message was left.  Within a minute the phone rang again with "unknown" listed.  No message again.
