I have got 3 such calls in 2 months. This was a second call (left voice message) that claimed to be from federal crime investigation department. The person had a heavy accent.He asked me to call back on 202.800.8489.

Heavy Indian ascent.
"You are involved in crime in our state. It is under your name and the social security number. Call immediately because we will proceed with the legal action against you"

who is this person calling me and who is he representing?  He calls himself Allen Paris and he claims that he is investigating ?  He claims that he is the police.

I had a call from 202-800-8489 regarding a crime against my family. His mane was allan paris. He had a dip accent, then I called FBI. They said this a scam.

I have too received many prank phone calls from this same guy on many occasions. You can file your complaints to local your county police online in the Financial Crimes section as i have and hopefully this problem gets resolved.

This is the 4th call of that nature that I have received in the past 2 months. Every time from a different phone number but the caller always has a very strong accent. I don't pick up these calls. I just listen to the message they leave. I don't know why nobody is doing anything to stop this.

Just thieves who're trying to steal your informations, pretending to be officers from IRS. do not answer or just hung up on them.

         HE DID NOT KNOW I AM FROM A POLICE OFFICERS FAMILY.  
       

caller identifies himself as ROBERT BLACK a federal officer ID# MRQ29428 saying that there is federal investigation and IRS issues that I should take care of it right now otherwise he is going send a Federal Marshal to arrest me. He passes on to Martin Bashir as his company's Lawyer who instructs me to send him $1500 via a Vanila Gift Card from 7Eleven or CVS. When I said I will talk to my Attorney just now and he hung up. Has a very strong accent and very poor language skills.

Some guy with a Lisp called and left a message saying his name was Officer Jordan Lopez from the Fed Crime investigation Unit. Threatened legal charges pending against my father if he doesn't return the call to 202-800-8489. Tried to sound very serious...

I got the same number and from Jordan. Why they are calling like that?

Same here.. this scammer was threatening with FBI warrant, we then called FBI office and they confirmed this is a scam.

Someone called saying you have not filed your tax returns properly and you owe money to IRS. Was telling have alleged federal crime and he is calling from federal crime investigation department. I insisted him to send me details by post mail so that i can discuss with CPA and Attorney if required and he kept insisting that there is a non bailable warrant against me for tax non payment, which he can avoid if i listen to him..

Ultimately i called my CPA and talked to him, he told me there is a scam going on lot of people are getting these type of calls.

He said he is from IRS and call came from 202-800-8489

Someone call me and said you did federal crime and you have to pay penalty

Someone called saying you are alleged in federal crime and he is calling from federal crime investigation department. I said whatever you have send it in writing and he kept in insisting that it is urgent I talk to him. Seems like the phone scam....
