Actually, I just got this post myself...from a friend of mine...when I later checked it, the user was non-existent.

I'm wondering if there is either a scam for texting the person--I did not--or a means of getting access to your FB, since only when you allow someone to be your friend, they get details on you.

I got this hole s number too... A random frnd requset on fb by Jessica Mayshiba... lol ... n the next thing after I accepted the frnd request was that she asked me if she liked girls with tattoos n left me this 202-817-2271 number n logged off askin me to text her....

She left me a message on facebook claiming to be Ashley Borchelt and left me the numbers to text her sometimes

I was friend requested by Jessica Cecil. No idea who she was. Asked a mutual friend on Facebook. She had no idea who this person was either. Same situation; added her, about ten minutes later received a  message. With this number.

Goes by the name 'Lisa Schroeden' on FaceBook.

I didn't call the number and I warned the mutual friend on Facebook who is friends with "her."

I had a friend request from a Jennifer udinsky.I accept. Then I message and say "have we met"    no I seen your pic and added you. What kinda music do you listen to. Ugh I have to log out right now. Send me a text today at 202-817-2271.  I never did though. That was last night at about 11:45 p.m. central time 10-29-13

Then I had to look up this number, then found this forum and found out I was not the only one trying to get scammed.

fake  phone  number....as  usual  !!!.....most  cases    scammers  using    google  voice  /  skype  etc...... (  voip )

NUMBERS   ARE   ALWAYS  FAKED /  SPOOFED...............THESE  ARE  FRAUD SCAMMERS  !!!!

PLEASE  NOTE !!!   THESE  SCAMMERS  ARE ALSO IMPERSONATING   THE  US  GOV'T /  SEVERAL  GOV'T  OFFICES AND   PERSONS....BEWARE !!!

-  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials  /  IRS  /  FAKE  LAW  FIRMS   etc....  with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you / give ....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams............
