Called 5:30pm on Saturday, I answered after 2 rings and no one there. Research on the internet about this GQREA.com indicates it is some kind of real estate scam. I am blocking the number and reporting to the Do Not Call list.
| Mimi 2013-12-23 21:05:41 Unknown |
I believe this is trying to buy our house, which is not for sale. Our phone number is listed as "do not call" yet we still get many calls! MOD calls allllll the time, which turned me off them. I did donate before, but would not now due to their harassment.

Free appraisal on my home! What would someone know about my home's value calling from another state? Plus caller ID has them as GQREA.org. I thought .org was for non-profits...........Scamster.

I just looked up the reverse directory after making my post and it said that the call was from a landline in Washington DC. However, it would not give me further information without my paying a fee so I didn't look any further. Since they previously registered on my phone as coming from New York that is just one more reason for me to believe that it is a fraud. Blocked their calls.
| Marie in California 2013-12-02 15:39:37 Unknown |
I don't answer the phone when I don't know who it is but my phone said the call was from New York. My phone ID said that it was Gorea.org and when I looked that up on the internet there is no such organization. Gorea is a game identity war like fictional character that can't be destroyed created by Norman. There is one real estate processor whose first name is Gorea. And I found one email address in a real estate organization where the email adress was Gorea. The man who called me tried to leave a message on my answering machine stating that investors are looking to buy real estate in my area so I picked up the phone and hung up on him without saying anything. This phone number has called several times previously and never left a message before. No stranger is going to get my real estate or financial information over the phone from me. Let them contact me through a local real estate company IF they are legitimate which I don't believe they are. Anyway, I am not interested in selling and I believe that they are a fraud...so I am blocking their phone number so they can't call me again.

Got a call from 202 827 1200. I let it go to voicemail. Caller said he was Robert from a real estate company. He wanted to tell me that my home might be worth more than I thought and that homes in my neighborhood were selling fast. I didn't listen to the rest of the message. There are only two problems with what I heard on the part of the message I heard. First, why is a company with a Washinton DC phone number calling me about real estate in my neighborhood when I don't live anywhere near DC and secondly I don't own a home. I rent. In my opinion this is a cold call/scam of some kind. Ignore these people.

LOL. I was googling this number because I did not remember why it was on my caller ID. Now I remember. Or at least, I remember Maria.
A very sweet sounding girl called me from this number a couple of weeks ago. I had to listen to her. She told me that they schedule free interviews with licensed professionals like Angie's List or Service Magic. She asked me, in a very sweet voice, if I could answer a quick survey and I had to say yes.
She asked me some questions about my real estate and future plans. Maria explained that they schedule free real estate consultations and free estimates in order to help encourage the growth of the U.S> real estate and construction industries.
I explained that I had thought about selling but I was not sure how much my house was worth right now.
Maria told me that that was no problem and she could send a licensed real estate professional to my house to give me information on how much my house could sell for. She said there was no obligation and there was no cost.
A guy from Keller Williams came to my house the next day and gave me information about local sales and also showed me how they make real estate marketing materials in multiple languages to attract overseas buyers.
Certainly very straight forward and actually kind of useful.
I just wish Maria would call me again and my house was worth a little more.

Call and message similar to Esther and Seldoon posts above, but only offered to sell house and save us lots of money. Robert is a slick and professional sounding telemarketer, way above average in that department. I wiped grease from receiver and sprayed well with combo of pest removal/disinfectant. Suggest reporting to FCC and avoiding like the plague.
We're in Cal and have no interest in selling; no possible legitimate reason for them to call and sense serious scammers at work here.

Left a message saying that it was Robert calling and he wanted to tell me an important message which was that the homes in my neighborhood were selling fast. If I called them they would send out a free appraiser to tell me the worth of my house and it would be no obligation on my part. Reminds me of the salesman going from door to door saying they were working in your neighborhood so they can give you a really good deal on work on your house. I'm not interested in selling the house and wonder where they came up with my phone number as it is unlisted.

Called at dinnertime, a bit before 7PM. Didn't recognize the name/number, so I didn't pick up the call. Left a message on my Verizon voicemail. Couldn't tell if it was a robocall, or a live body reading from a script. Fluent English, but slight accent that I couldn't quite identify. Best guess would be Hispanic, or possibly Eastern Europe. Some mumble about real estate: "If you want to sell your house, call us back at 800-212-2805". Company name given was "Global Quest Real Estate". Agent name given was "Robert".
Online search for info relating to the callback number 800-212-2805 leads to the following contact data from the WHOIS database:

Could be a scam, or it could be a rogue agent at a legitimate agency. Don't care. Reported 'em to the FCC.

Call went right to voice mail - left message about the value of our home and those in our neighborhood. Said it was NOT a sales call, but the information he would provide would affect the value of our home. Left phone number 800-212-2805 to call back.
