They did not leave a message. I called the number back and was immediately put on hold, as they were busy with other valuable donors... which I'm not. I hung up after a while. Now that I think about it, calling them was a mistake, because now that I have initiated contact, they do not have to abide by the "do not call" list, since we have a "relationship." Ug - now what.

I didn't get a name on my caller ID but I have been contacted by AVRF before, it stands for American Veterans Relief Foundation. They are a telemarketing racket that solicits funds to "help veterans" - Yeah Right! They are rated as a zero-star charitable organization, something like 4 cents on the dollar goes to help veterans. BEWARE!

I just got a call from this number and it also showed AVRF in caller ID. Who are they. I never answer calls that are not familiar to me. If they want to talk to me then they should let me know who and why they are calling on my answering machine. And I'll decide if I need to call them back.
