This number comes up as "Anonymous", they Also call as AICR with another 888-202 number. Calls at least twice a day using both numbers. I do not answer any calls unless I know the party who is calling.

Well a new year and it's started again. 4 calls in 2 days from AICR. Pick up and hang up or better yet keep a marine whistle next to the phone and blow it in the receiver. How do these bloodsuckers sleep at night?

Just as I thought....went to your opt out page, and surprisingly, every code I entered did not match. Trying to appease people by letting them think you actually have a way to stop receiving these annoying calls, and the page doesn't function, is just another reason to make me believe your site is fraudulent, along with your charity.

Looks like the AICR is at it again, after a layoff, hoping their earlier perpetual begging for a VERY SUSPECT "CHARITY" is now forgotten, now that we are into a new year. Study this purported " charity" VERY carefully, before even thinking about donating to them! The legitimate, American Cancer Society, uses donated funds in the way the contributors expect it to be!

Call came in at 7:36 PM on January 3, 2014. The telephone number was displayed, but no name was shown. I did not answer the call.
Bobbi 2013-12-30 21:35:23 Unknown
They call all times of the day. 8:00 am, noon, late evening. Every day. If they're looking for money, why isn't anyone on the line when you pock up? I AM on the do not call list they recommend that you call.
chuck 2013-12-30 15:14:51 Unknown
caller id reflects a number I do not recognize, so I just go back to drinking my coffee and looking out the window after I come here to see who else they could be aggravating. If I donated to every caller and every heart throb $18 or $19 a month tv commercial, my social security check would soon be gone and I would need to start doing a little scamming too LOL

The American Institute For Cancer Research "charity" ha ha! has the lowest possible rating of all charities-- an absolute ZERO, due to the fact that very little or any of the donated monies goes to cancer related projects, but into the pockets of the founders and paid telemarketers!
John 2013-11-09 18:01:43 Unknown
The AICR cancer scammers also use (202) 688 exchange numbers, so watch for them trying to sneak a call into you by using those numbers to catch you off guard! They are very devious in their attempt to fool people into donating to their fraudulent "charity".
Curtist 2013-11-09 10:48:37 Unknown
This time it's Anonymous. Next time, it's AICR. Always a {202} area code w/an 888 exchange. The next four digits change w/the wind. Call constantly. Never, ever do they answer when I pick up. I suppose it's a good thing they don't answer now. Why ? Because I am laying a few good F-Bombs their way. I'm clueless how they got my number anyway. I just can't wait til the next call & the sorry SOB who might just answer. They better have ear plugs.

The American Institute For Cancer Research scammers (AICR) will NEVER stop calling, until they have scammed as many people as possible, and their pockets are full of fraudulently obtained funds! TRULY DISGUSTING!
Annoyed 2013-11-08 23:40:39 Unknown

Besides being BIG scammers, the AICR are disgusting, perpetual pests!
John 2013-11-02 04:02:47 Unknown
Who the AICR needs to apologize to are the legitimate charities , who they take donations away from, and to the people who are now suspicious of all charities! They are BIG cancer scammers! Probably the very worst!

Your scummy calls are the least of the problem.
Charity navigator rates your outfit 0 out of 5 stars. And the real purpose of the calls is to line the pockets of the scum that run the boiler room errr I mean "call center" (LOL). According to them, your fundraising eats more than 54% of your take, with the rest going to "administrative expenses" and so forth (BTW is that before or after the boiler room operation gets its cut) --with maybe a few cents left over so you can publish some fluffy press releases to make it look like you're a real charity. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. Shame on you for coming on this site and LYING about it.

It's a blight on real charities and people really trying to do good that an organization like yours even exists.

If you are visiting this website we suspect you are concerned about telephone calls you have received from the American Institute for Cancer Research or AICR.
We sincerely apologize if our calls have upset, offended or inconvenienced you in any way.
You may have registered with the National Do Not Call List and wonder why you have been called.
You should know that charities, nonprofit and political organizations are exempt from the National Do Not Call requirements. However, we don?t want to call you, if you don?t want to be called. It is AICR?s policy to always honor a request to not be called.
The easiest way to be removed from future telephone solicitations by AICR, is to complete our Do Not Call form at www.aicr.org/dontcallme.
Once you complete the form we will suppress your telephone number from future fundraising campaigns.
The American Institute for Cancer Research is a national cancer charity focusing on the link between diet, nutrition and cancer. In our most recent fiscal year (2012) where audited numbers are available, together, research and public education programs accounted for 65% of all expenditures, with fundraising 22% and administration at 13% of expenses.
It may take up to 72 hours to remove your information from our telephone fundraising campaigns. If you would like to speak with someone you can reach us at 1-880-843-8114 weekdays from 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time.
We hope this information has been helpful.

Let me be the first to warn all, of these callers! They are the American Institute For Cancer Research (AICR), one of the lowest rated "charities" of all, because of the fact that very little or any of the monies raised by them ends up in cancer related projects, but in the pockets of the organizers and paid telemarketers. If you have money to donate to this or any other fund, first to make sure the money is going to where you intended!
