Have any of you recived call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft and wanting to repaire your computer. I to have been getting calls when i answer i here nothing.  and a few seconds later i here a voice say good by. It might be them calling to see what time is best to catch you at home. Then they call from Microsoft (so they say) and try to sell you Microsoft defender for $130.00 (which is a free download ). It could be related because i have been getting calls from both of them.

Have told them repeatedly to stop calling me on my home and cell phone. They just keep calling.

I have received this on my home phone...from an unknown number...it is completely blank.
It is irritating.

I got the same nonsense about spyware etc. When I pressed him about who he worked for He hung up. Theres a refreshing switch. I'm in northern Alberta

Received 3 calls today from this number but I did not take the calls. I'm from Ontario, Canada.

ahaha They just tried calling me and i said "take me off your list" and he said "sorry i cant do that" and i said "yes your going to take me off your list or i will trace this number and you will speaking with my lawyer" and he hung up so i tried tracing the number on reverse phone number lookup and nothing came up soooooooooooo try what i did and if they hang up then hopefully they wont try calling back

Ah the beauty of call displays, Just received a call from this number, this number called 4 times in the last few days and a few times last week, "really, give me a break" I do not answer these pesky numbers, they keep on calling and I keep on ignoring..

This is b***s***, just woke me up I just worked a 24 hr shift. I had only been sleeping for 2 hrs!!!!! This is a scam that want money, for what? If I wanted my computer fixed I would take it to the computer store. I am on the DO- NOT CALL LIST, so DO-NOT call me again, this is the third time I said I was not interested.

I am getting tired of these people calling...same response as everyone else.

Seems they've moved on - I'm in Saskatchewan. I got a call from them today but didn't pick up.

Got a call from this east indian guy from this number to my home number. He asked me what error was coming up on my computer and wanted to get access to repair it. I know a couple things about computers so I thought to try and get some info from him. I asked him his name, he said his name was Sheldon Matwa from Tech Data...by this time I'd had it.
I am a telecom network tech, I actually deal with the company Tech Data, they are not computer support folks they are network gear suppliers and Voip solution providers.......
I asked him his name again, he replied the same thing. I asked him who his employer was, he said Tech Data again. I asked him where he was calling from and he said Canada, I pressed him and all he would say is Canada. Seeing the area code, i knew it was US - CT so figured i'd scare him a bit.
i advised him he was breaking the law by misrepresenting real companies as well as calling numbers on the DNC list. I demanded to know his employer's address. He said f*** you and hung up.....
What a douche....

we get calls from 203-026-3987 both at home and at work almost every day if we  get to the phone in time all you hear is goodby, now when we see the number we don`t answer it.

ottawa-gatineau: i've been receiving calls every other day for more than a week, i think. i've been lifting the receiver and replacing it in the cradle right away as i do with all suspicious-looking numbers. but ben's reply made me wonder if this caller is somehow related to a phone fraud warning that was published a few months back. i found this link.

203-026-3987 is the number that has been calling my home for the past month or so.  They call several times a week, sometimes twice a day.  No one speaks and when I tried to call back the number was not in service. The number comes from somewhere in Connecticut.

A month or so ago, I received 2 calls from someone offering to help clean up my pc.  He mentioned PC Doctor though claimed not to be associated with them directly.  I refused his help both times, the second time hanging up on him.  I never 'connected' those calls with these constant hang up calls until reading this site.  I am in Ontario, Canada.

I keep receiving acall from phone number 2030263987. when I answer call line remains silent and just before call is cancelled by caller I hear a machine type noise ending call. I would like this  call stopped. I would like to thank you in advance for any helpyou ca provide.

I just had a call from the same guy.  As soon as he said something about representing Macintosh and Microsoft computers I hung up on him.  I'm in Toronto.

We get calls from this number several times per week but nobody responds when we pick up.

This is definitely a fraud.  I strung him along and the object was to let them clean your computer of viruses.  He will direct you into allowing them to hack into your computer to do this favour for you and he will also mention the name PC doctor.   BEWARE, this guy needs to go to prison  I'm also in Ottawa.  He has called me 3 times so far and if anyone knows who I should contact to nail this guy, I'll do it.

This is a scam operating out of Kolkota, India. They say they are from the "technical department of Windows". I just say I had the problem solved by buying software from a company in Mumbai.
The American phone number is for foreign companies to tele-bomb North America. When you hear the "Good-bye" message it means some poor doofus, somewhere,  is being harangued all because he picked up the phone too soon.
In future, let the phone ring six times; if the caller really wants to talk to you, he'll stay on the line.

Also received call from (203) 026-3987, Indian sounding man on other end of the line, supposedly from a PC virus removing company.  Incredibly fishy when someone is asking you to go to your computer and give them information.  I hung up at that point, but not before accusing them of conducting a scam which I said I would be reporting.

I told that f***ing brown man to eat pork and that obama is going to airstrike his brown a**.  f***ing pa**y im gonna mountain doo him and eat his soft spots.. i don't even use windows...stupid f***... hope the round up all you muzlem f***ers like the ch*nks back in the day and mush you into vile soup... i called this brown a$$ ring every name in the book and he was still trying to get me to do something with my computer... a** munch

Recd many calls...dead air etc....today an Indian accented man said he was with PC Doc & offering to clean up computer problems.  Said all was ok with my computer.  He said I would not see it as it was not a virus but something that needed to be  done internally.  As he was "transferring" me to the specialist that was going walk me through the process I hung up..  Sneaky suspicion he was going to get me to hand over control of my computer to him.

Got the same issues as these ppl&a goodbye message @the end,my no#is unlisted,we r from ottawa canada,I know for a fact lots of pranks can be done from computers,from corrupted ppl,gets old&annoying after a while.

14 Jan 2012-Received call.  An Indian accented voice (dot, not feather) offering to clean up my computer problems.  I interrupted, told him my computer was fine and not to phone again, and hung up.   I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
