That people with caller ID continue to answer the calls of people they don't know is mind boggling.

credit card scammer, there is no way in h-- i would give anyone my info over the phone, were a small business and don't use cards of any kind, thats how we have kept our company out of debt. I have three pages of legal size paper full of these type of calls and yes were on the do not call lists and since that is a bunch of crap we have fun with these idiots when we have time in the office. most of the time i refer them to our attorney generals office for our state, heck why should we have all the fun let them get tired of the crap calls as much as the rest of us do, i figure they will stop them someday. I really like to act stupied with the crap callers we bet lunches on who can work them up the best before they hang up on us. office games for slow days..

Last time I tried to "0" out and ask to be taken off their call list. The girl replied with "Bite me." And hung up. Ahh...good old fashioned customer service.

these low life scammers deserve a good swift kick in the head and then be shot with a rusty bullet! I dont even have a credit card and have told them that and have told them repeatedly to remove me from their list.I also reported them to the do not call registry that was a waste of time, their still calling I only wish I could deal with these idiots in person so I could choke the living crap out of them!!!!!!!

I heard that when you pick up the phone for these robocalls...just hit the pound sign (#) very fast 6-10 times and the computer will lose your number out of confusion.
I haven't had the chance to try it yet but I am gonna'

A note of caution, Miss Perturbed. Keep earplugs close by, too. Your own hearing can be damaged as well as the solicitors. Generally, most of these calls are initially pre-recorded and give you ample time to insert the earplugs, allowing you to still mildly hear the muffled caller on the other end. I am a hunter and have protective headsets that are great for these types of calls. If i can save just one person from hurting themself while running to the phone to answer a mindless solicitors call, it's all worth a little effort on my part.

Get a whistle, a very loud whistle. Keep it next to the telephone. When you receive one of these annoying phone calls, go ahead and push the appropriate buttons to speak with a person. After all, you have already answered the phone and have been taken away from whatever it was you were doing. So play ball, but play it your way. When a real person gets on the phone, blow the whistle as hard as you can. That's right, AS HARD AS YOU CAN. You may want to plug your ears. If you have access to an airhorn, feel free to use that also. Amazon.com sells these items relatively inexpensively for hours of fun - at the solicitors expense. If you can't beat them, join them.
Remember, they called you. ENJOY! :)

No message. If your call is not important enough to leave me a message then don't bother making the call in the first place. "Do not call list", what a joke!

Recorded message claiming to be from "Cardholder Services" with an offer to lower my interest rate. Only my family has my cell number, so this is a total scam. Reported it to donotcall.gov

this is so annoying. I block the number for these people and they call from another. I block that number and they call from another. They are relentless, they are criminals, and all they want is your credit card info so they can steal money from you by charging your credit card. This is not a legitimate business, they will not reduce your interest rate and if you are in the mood to have some fun, press 1 and then question what they are up to. The fact that they are willing to curse at you (yes curse), call you names, and hang up on you is a sign that this isn't a legitimate business.

Tried to call them back to be removed and I got "Your call cannot be completed as dialed.
F****ng scammer.

Yet another chance to lower your credit card debt. Claimed an interest rate as low as 1%, no kidding. I hung up right away. I normally don't answer unknown numbers, but for some reason I answered today. Just don't answer it.

| Angry Taxpayer 2011-12-28 23:08:48 Unknown |
They called and said they were from "cardholder services" and I should press 1 to speak with a rep. When I did that and asked the rep what company he was with, he hung up on me. A legitimate firm would cheerfully ID themselves.
I called the number back and it was disconnected, My caller ID said it was from Darien, CT.
IF the greedy, selfish bureaucrats at do-not-call-dot-gov can't fix this, they should ALL be fired ASAP.
