I received, like you, I have been getting calls to my cell from 203-242-7889. Took your suggestion to go to Bandwidth.com, but can't figure out how to enter my complaint. Can you advise on how to do it?  Thanks times 10!

Calls, rings twice, and hangs up. Second day in a row.

Just received a call from this number.  Didn't answer and no message left.

Call came in from Connecticut at 11:02 pm. No legitimate company has calls going out at that hour...that is in my time zone!! Only my family would call late in an emergency....Didn't answer.

Just called my cell phone at 10:45 at night! Only rang 2x and came up as unknown name.

Windows phones also have an app you can use to block these unwanted numbers.  These people are just scammers who let the phone ring once and then hang up hoping you'll call them back.  Don't!

I too received a call from this number.  2 rings.  Doesn't matter, if I do not recognize a phone #,  I do not answer.

Try    nomorobo.com works awesome only 1 robo call in 3 weeks and I added that to list.

Got two calls this evening, one at 7:17 PM and the other at 11:11 PM.  Since the call purportedly came from CT, that's AFTER midnight EDT.  I wasn't near the phone to answer either time but they didn't leave a voice message either.  However...

With my current version of iPhone I'm able to set such callers to be blocked.

This people call you to make money $$$$$$ ,or eat up phone minute ,the best way to do ,not to listen...........call the fed. To stop them

I had already added area code 203 to my call blocker as a consequence of getting similar calls in the past so I was uninterrupted.

I go to work at 4 am, so getting a call from this number at 8:39 pm, just after I'd finally gotten to sleep, was no end of annoyance.  I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.

Ya!  I do wonder if it's got something to do with that "Target" Breach from Black Friday!!!

I live in upstate NY and have received multiple calls from this number.  I am on the national do not call list to no avail.

203-242-7889 is a scammer telemarketer. Wants personal info and way to charge the
$9 handling fee for your supposed gift card. Do NOT give these SCHEISTERS your

About a month ago I received a note card in the mail with no return address. It was a thank you note from someone I didn't know for gifts I supposedly sent. The writing was 'broken' English and the signed name was foreign. An East Indian name. This phone number was written after the person's name who signed it asking me to call when I got a chance. I googled the phone number and learned that it was ' not assigned.' I never called. I took it to the Post Office.
 Last night I received a phone call from this number on my cell phone. I didn't answer. Anyone else wonder if this has anything to do with the Target breach?

Received a call from (203) 242-7889 on my cell around noon time today. Didn't answer, no messages.

When I get this sort of call, I save the number in my phone's address book with a name of "pest 1", "pest 2", etc, and then block the number.  I never get bothered by them again.  They may call me on another number, but that gets blocked as well.  

When you upgrade to a new phone, make sure that the phone provider copies the address book over, so that phone is automatically protected from these guys as well.  Be sure it copies the blocked numbers when you do this, and verify that these numbers are still blocked.

You're right about the administration but wrong about the technology. Telcos could stop this almost immediately, but their profits are making it impossible to stop.
