On 2/27 at 7:36 pm I got a call from 1-203-388-0774 & listened to a female from India who couldn't speak one word of English talk gibberish about a job fair that's going to be held at the Affinia Manhattan hotel in NYC on March 3, 2008. This alien who knew no English whatsoever got offended and angry at me to the point where she copped a nasty attitude when I asked her to please repeat what she said because I could not understand her at all. Afterwards when I asked her for the name of the place she was talking about she misspelled Affinia by saying e-s-s-e-n-s-i-a on 371 7th Avenue 10001. I had to look up the name of Affinia Manhattan this morning through the internet by using the address 371 7th avenue in yellowpages.com. The foreigner never gave me the name of the company she worked for. I have a suspicion that the majority of individuals working at 1-203-388-0774 in Stamford CT are uneducated, unqualified, inexperienced illegal aliens who have no right to be in the USA.

This number has shown up twice on my cell phone, neither time I managed to get to it in time. Very interesting about the other comments. I tried calling it back, but it's busy all the time.

I got a similar call - sounds like it's a telemarketing call center on behalf of some contingency recruiter. I believe they are connected to http://www.womenjobfairs.com/, since they're the only ones I could find that are putting on a career fair at the Affinia on the date mentioned (in my case, Oct. 29). They were incredibly cryptic, I expect because their script didn't tell them very much. However, they do come across as shady, don't they?
