So i can belive what your posting here... I dont know much about this place but sounds like a bad scam to me. Have been receiving this call as well. Haven't answered due to the comments here - thank tou.
If it was legit and important, they would leave voicemails.
My concern is that they are jacking our phone numbers from Career Builder or my state employment website. I know this because I have a cell that isn't published anywhere but "on" my resume on those two sites. Agreeing to make my resume searchable does not mean I agree that my cell should be spammed.

I have been getting calls from these people 5 or 6 times a day at all hours of the day when I tried to call back it said it wass an international number. Finally I called back from a landline and it's for a JOB EXPO, and they told me they got my number of the resume I posted. This company is an outsourced company and your call goes to India, they will ask what state you are calling from and tell you there is a job fair set-up there and they want you to come...
tell them to take your number off the list and make sure to get the companies information just in case of anything.

I just received a call from this number but they left no voicemail. I won't call back after reading these other comments. This definitely seems shady.

I talked to this guy said it is from a job expo...he gave me the location in Southfield and asked me to repeat the address to him so I did. Then he told me come to the hotel in Southfield for the job fair and bring 10 resumes between 10-3pm. I told him that I cannot because I will be at work but he said that I have to be there if I want a job. so my thing is if they want to accomadate you, they will give you an one on one interview. So I did not go because I know it is a scam...it's weird because I asked about what company is this and he said they are with "many companies." So annoying then another call from 416 area code call me again.

I kept receiving calls from this number, no message ever left. I recently put my resume up on Career Builder so it must have been where they got this number. How annoying!!

I just got a call from this phone number. Thanks for the messages. I looked up the number on Google and using my telecom company's database and found out it's a number in Stamford, CT. If anybody wants to let the Stamford, CT police know I'm sure they can track this number down.

203-388-0768 & 416-628-9630 both called. the 203 number I called back and no one answered AND had no voice mail....and when I called the 416 it was job expo. If they are afraid to leave messages or dont answer when called back, its gotta be a scam. If they need business they will defidently provide information for a call back. Those idiots.

It's for some Job Fair. Same thing for the number 203-388-0774.
Jessi 2011-06-06 20:41:53 Unknown
I got the missed call and I didn't know what was going on when a guy called me 3 times
SJ 2011-06-06 20:41:53 Unknown
There are calling from a Job Expo in an effort to get you to come to an open job forum. It smells very fishy and he wouldn't say what companies were going to be there.

I've had the numvber come up on my cell phone over the past several days, including today (Sunday). Unfortunately, I've moissed the calls, and whoever is dialing doesn't leave a message. A quick check of the number from Swithcboard and Google comfirms it's eminating from Stamford, CT. The call wouldn't go through when I tried to call back from my cell; when i used my landline all I got was a busy signal.

The calls are all of course from Jobexpo.com, or Diversityjobfairs.com, or Womenjobfairs.com, or Securityclearanceexpo.com or Salesshows.com depending on which scam Jack Cohen is running that week. Whoever is currently looking for a job beware of any of these events, they are a huge waste of time for the jobseeker and a big waste of money for the employer. The calls that are being received are coming from an India located call center hired by Cohen in order to stay as cheap as possible while trying to fill his so called career fairs with potential employees. Most of these callers can not speak English or give the people wrong information, usually creating a host of angry people in its wake. The company also lists a huge list of events around the country on each of its websites, although a high rate of 90 - 95% of the shows are cancelled (usually days before it is supposed to take place). No real advertising is ever done for the shows, they are all expected to be filled via the annoying phone calls you receive that sound as though they are coming from a terrorist. Steer clear and you should be fine. They get your phone numbers if you have attended one of the fairs in the past, or put your information on Monster, Careerbuilder or Hotjobs (where they steal most of thier resumes). They also try and charge jobseekers to attend the events which is disgusting and greedy. I hope this sheds some light on them. The office number for them is 516-942-7574 and the President is Jack Cohen in case anyone would like to call and express thier feelings towards the annoying calls. At least you will have the proper information as opposed to phony return number.

I received a call which appeared on the ID as only 203. No one answered when I attempted redialing of course the message stated I must complete the number. Is this some type of gathering information or bugging the phone?
Steve 2011-06-06 20:41:53 Unknown
I believe the calls are actually emanating from a call center in India. They find your phone number from resumes that you have posted on the Internet. I'ts a scam.
bill 2011-06-06 20:41:53 Unknown
they claimed to have a job interview set up for me however the number does not work. I did not have this issue until i posted on career builder. that site is a piece of junk with worthless jobs. Figures they attract idiot scammers

Frances 2011-06-06 20:41:53 Unknown
This number has come up on my cellphone. They called over the weekend and left no message, though they called 3x within 2 hours. During weekdays they dial through on 203-388-0774. I too have used CareerBuilder, and am concerned by other comments here that this group may have accessed my information through CB.

I answered the call and some lady told me that she saw my resume online and that it looked really impressive, and told me that I should go for an interview. Stupidly I told the woman I would be on vacation, because i got the sense that it sounded like a scam and I wanted to come up with an excuse. That was dumb, because my home address is on the resume ughh! So i called back to say that my plans changed and I'd actually be home, but it turns out that the number doesnt exist... I'm kind of worried about it
MHL 2009-04-02 01:59:40 Unknown

I got two calls from number below.
I live in Ireland and have no connections with US/North America.
However I do have a VoIP telephone line and have 2 temporary numbers from the US whereby my children on holiday could ring a US national number to get routed to Ireland. It would suggest to me that these companies are ringing numbers in rotation. Caller suggested something about a manager job - I told him he had the wrong number.
