I?ll second that.  This priceline.com fraud call seemed suspicious.  Why don?t they have a toll free number to call back?  But my voicemail had enough detail on it that I called my credit card company first.  Sure enough there was a fraudulent charge.  My credit card company immediately cancelled my card and started a fraud investigation.

I then called back this Priceline fraud number and spoke with Vinotd.  He confirmed enough info that I got from my credit card company to satisfy me.  I confirmed that it is not my charge, so he is proceeding to cancel this bogus reservation.  And he advised me to call my credit card company as well.  I had to ask him why Priceline doesn't have a toll free number, that this 203 area code seemed suspicious.  He said it was his departments direct number.  Priceline does have a toll free number, which then routes to his department.  Still, when you?re talking fraud, no one wants to call a funky number.  Come on Priceline.

Have to admit I was also a bit suspicious when I got a call from them tonight. I didn't tell them any info except my name, but they were able to provide me some digits of my card number and my address. I checked my bank statement and sure enough there was the charge.

If anyone from Priceline is reading this, running a fraud line from India seems very very suspicious, when us victims get a random call. I understand the idea to cut costs, but you need to do something differently here.

This is a legit number for the Fraud Dept. at Priceline.com, for whom I work for.  It comes up blocked, because it is for the Fraud Dept. ONLY!  We don't want to have customers calling us wanting to know how much a flight is to Las Vegas, etc.  The reason we call to validate charges, is due to the fact that most hotel reservations, airline tickets and car rentals are pre-paid.  This means that you pay us and we pay our partner. If the the charge turns out to be fraudulent, then we not only get a chargeback from the credit card company, we also usually get charged by the partner.  Our Fraud Dept. is located here and in India, so we can keep track 24/7 365 days a year.  Crime does not take a holiday!

The person who called from 2034418455 said he is calling from priceline regarding the credit card fraud.  That is strange coz why they would call, it should be the credit card company.

They said the same thing to us... yet nothing comes up saying this is a priceline phone.  Obviously bogus.

Said it was Priceline confirmation a reservation made. Yet, when I Google the number, it says it is unlisted. Very suspicious.
