You could look into call blocking apps for your cell phone, some phones you can a free app for. Newer phones are coming out with blocking abilities now also. If all else, contact your phone service provider about blocking these!

ANY call that comes to my phone unsolicited is potential scam.  Yes CL&P have alternate electricity suppliers; but only a fool would switch based upon an unknown caller.  If you want to compare suppliers go to the CL&P web site for the rates, links, and info on how to sign up.

"service customer"  calls every day.  I never answer when I see 203-538-0952

Received a call and interrogated the caller.  He said it was "Power Choice" out of Cincinnati.  When I thanked him for the information that I would provide the Attorney General, he hung up.

This is a company trying to get you to switch electric companies...

Take off calling list. I ask a question and you hang up. This is harassment.

I have CL&P and they told me that all these companies would try to call me to get  cheaper rates  bs. i never gave anyone permission to give out  my number  but wai t  unit they come to your door just never give them anything about your account they wanted to see mine  I said no and i didnt have it  who goes around knocking on peoples door s asking to fix your account no way .  i think it  is  just a way to get into your account he told me that he could fix  it ya right . they ar apain nin the azz to get rid of. so i just dont bother to answer anymore. just beware they wlil come to your door

These people have been calling several times a week for quite some time now. They never leave a message and the CID shows "Service Customer". I have been on the National Do Not Call Registry since it's inception years ago. Why do they fall through the cracks? I fully intend to report this number to both the FCC and the FTC once the government is up an rinning again!

These morons have been calling here for a month solid about 2 or 3 times a week.  I don't pick up the phone, they don't leave messages.  Similar phone numbers are about electric bill reduction.  Had a heated conversation one time with the caller.  They ignore requests to not call again.  Their last call was on 9/26/13 at 7:30 p.m.  They should all be arrested for harrassment.

My number must be on every list...no message, don't care why they called, just wish they wouldn't.

They called our work number; it showed up as "Shelton, CT" on the CID.  "Gabriel" was quite rude and non-committal when I insisted that they never call again.

Can you prove it is legit? Do you have their company information, useful stuff that you can share with us?

It might be a scam, but it's unlikely.  Connecticut has about ten alternatives to CL&P and UI.  They each vary in Terms and conditions.  They all will save some money -- nothing dramatic.  Unraveling their various offers requires an accountant.  They will give you a low initial rate.  One key might be when that rate goes up and by how much.  But it's legit, if it is what I think it is.  You probably can get a run down on one of the State of Connecticut sites.

This number just called. CID said "Service Customer."  Asked for my CL&P account number. Must be a scam when i pressed her with questions and she hung up. Did not identify herself except mentioning something about a rate reduction and saving money and Choice Energy or something. Does anyone have any more information on this. Is it a scam? Other reports?

This number just called, listed as "Service Customer".  I let it go to voice mail.  The message was a recording about "the rate reduction mentioned on your electric bill".
