This number had been calling with an Unknown Name on the caller ID and I grew tired of it so yesterday I answered it.
A man with a rather poor Indian accent answered and said he was calling from Microsoft and hackers had invaded my computer (I wanted to say, "Oh, yeah--which one?!") but I decided to let him do the talking.  He tried to convince me to log in and give him some codes or other information so he could stop the hacking.
I said I was busy and didn't have time for his request.  He repeated it was really important we take care of this right NOW, and I told him that I have really strong internet antivirus and security programs and it was doubtful I had hacks happening.  He said, "Oh, you do...these hackers can get through anything and you don't even know.  Let's take care of it today."  I said no.  He then insisted he call back later in the day, and I said no.  He said, "Then when?"  I said I didn't know...he said he'd be calling again later, so we will see. I do plan to report this to the media and Microsoft, especially after reading all these comments.

Scam stating they want to get your computer working. Started off with an indian accent, rolled into a bad mexican accent, then into I think lousianan. I let them walk me through their scam...til a point!
I asked for him to verify microsoft credentials.
He said ok...then walked me thru a couple of dumb info screens and wanted pretty basic useless info. Then said ok, now go to  Run prompt again and type in ww.teamviewer.com. and I pretended to type it in.
Then I said this is where I stop and wait for you to prove you are a Microsoft representative.
He said okay remember when you filled out the regestration when you got your computer new, I said yes, he said that is how you know..
I said what year did I buy the computer?
He said how am i supposed to know that? Am I supposed to know everything about you.
No but you should know what computer is contacting you, Can you tell me anything about the regestration on this computer.
NO
Then I told him he is a fraud and that microsoft does not use teamviewer...
He started yelling that I don't know anything about computers.
I told him he was a little snarky for a microsoft employee
He said some other mess and hung up!
HASHAHAHHAH I WIN!!!!!

I received two calls today and he (they) will call back in one hour.  I received calls from these same scammers two months ago with the same Windows problem nonsense.

I just received a email with the number attached in the email , claiming that he would like to schedule a interview with me. Now that I am reading all your experiences I can clearly see that it is some sort of scam . He also attached his "name" and the "website" in the email .. please beware of this person. I also googled the website and his email and name!no results found!!!!

Just received a call a few minutes ago from these people.  He claimed to be calling from Windows regarding my computer.  Told him I don't own a computer and he hung up on me.

Received a call minutes ago from this number. Guy told me he was calling from Windows and I have a virus damaging my computer. I asked for his company name and website which he claimed was iuv.com. Then I asked his name and he hung up.

You're right! I just recieved a call from 203-541-0236. He tried to tell me that I have a virus on my computer.  I asked him what kind of computer do I have, his answer was incorrect and actually wanted me to tell him.. I told him if I have a virus on my computer he should know what kind of computer I'm using. He hung up in my face. My goodness! Block this number, please.

Just was called, however they asked for me by name. They hung up after I said yes this is. Freaking me out

Called from this number 203-541-0236 today. They call every few months. It is part of the microsoft telephone SCAM. They inform you that you have a virus or that windows has been sending error message to them. They are calling to "fix" the problem to protect you from hackers and viruses.... LOL - they are the hackers. They want to log onto your computer with your help so they can steal personal information. Block this number.

Got a call this afternoon from 203-541-0236 (caller ID shows Stamford, CT).  Just dead air, then they hung up.  

203-541-0236 called me...came up on Caller ID. When I returned the call, claimed that he did NOT call me and that he was in Cambria, CA. He claimed he was an attorney. I asked to be removed from his calling list. I then hung up.

Just called my home and when I returned the call, claimed he was an attorney in Cambria, California
