This is how they work. They claim you can get into a house, either for rent or rent to own without a background check. They, however, will either post an ad for an address that is not listed with them or claim that they can not release any information (address, status of the house, ect) until you submit an application which will cost you. They provide you absolutely no paperwork or any kind of verification that you filled out an application and then ask you to sign up with them on their website. To sign up on their site you put in your name, e-mail address, phone number, zip code, billing address, and your credit / check card number with the expiration date and security code.

I continuously received phone calls from them also a very inappropriately hours and my number is also supposed to be private. how do you block such numbers from the phone, however, I really wish I could speak to a representative.

We shouldn't be getting these kinds of calls, being on the Do Not Call list, that's what irks me even more.

I stayed on the line long enough to ask which of my accounts they were calling about. Not being able to give me a number, I told the caller, it's not a credit *what ever* company, they were a scam company, SCAM SCAM SCAM. He started yelling at me, I hung up! HA--- I pissed them off!

Got the same call three days in a row. Same Card Member Services as Mel described. I pressed "1" to talk to someone with the intent of talking to someone to have my number removed from their calling list, as I have requested every time they have called in the past. When I got someone on the phone they asked if I was interested in lowering my credit card rates and I told them, "No, I want to speak to your supervisor." The person said "Ok, thank you" and hung up.

Calls with a recorded message saying they're calling from "Cardholder Services", and how they've made numerous attempts to contact you at your residence...and then comes the debt consolidation spiel, yada yada $3000 in debt, on credit cards, and one valid card...and tells you to "Press one to consolidated your debt." Most of the legitamate ones of these have another button to push if you want to be removed from their list. This one doesn't. It shows up on the caller ID as "Wireless Caller"

They called me using the name "Account Services" & offered to lower my debt.  The hung up when I said "Don't call".  I called the # & received a message that a mail box has not been set up.
I received the same call & same message from 901-212-0684.
I filed w/ the FCC & FTC on both.  I received a response that they are indeed looking into this one.
When u file a complaint, make sure u state that they hung up not allowing u to tell them not to call and that you called the # back but the # does not allow u to tell them not to call.  Seems both of these are violations.
Just don't complain here. File a complaint the right way.

USA Mobility Wireless is a pager company.  Our paging terminals are not capable of placing outbound calls; furthermore, we do not participate in telemarketing campaigns.  The number you listed, 203-584-5201, is not a number loaded in any of our systems.  When I dialed it, I received a message stating the number is not in service.

This number may have been spoofed.  Spoofing refers to the ability to deceive recipients of calls into believing they are actually being called by someone else ? due to what appears on the Caller ID.  Unfortunately, we cannot control this but I assure you, USA Mobility Wireless is not involved in any attempts to contact you.

Please have this compnay stop making calls to my residence

received a call on my land line. Since I do not ans calls from numbers I do not recognize, I let the call ring out,  No voice mail was left, but my call Id indicated  it was a call from a cell phone, so just b/c it is a 203 area code they are not necessarily calling from Conecticut. btw the cell provideder is Metro Call. I am also on a din ot call list but does it aplly to cell phones who are calling?

Take the call and when someone gets on the phone I just blow a very loud horn.  I have to ware earplugs it is so loud. I just keep blowing until they hang up.  I haven't been getting the calls as much as I just started to do this.  They will learn to keep calling

You can block any number, even one with an area code.  I did, and it has worked.  Or, if you prefer, you can order Zap Guy's device -  shock and awe:)  Delightfully retaliative idea.

I used to get these calls but I invented a device that sends a mild shock to the caller with the push of a button. Would anyone like to buy one :-)

To who it my concern,  I received a phone called then was told to push 1 someone answered saying "Account Services" I asked how you got my number. They called on my home phone. If they called on 800# the block would work but they us and area code.

Thanks, jaaugust, I will do the same, and hopefully Mr. Lougee will convince USA Mobility to look into this matter.  Your letter was great!  Until then, I hope you will do as I did and block the calls coming from these folks.  It was relatively simple.  I also plan to use *57 as a means of reporting any further calls to security.  We aren't powerless - we just need to inform each other!

Just discovered this and it works for my phone "problem callers". right after the call, dial *60. then #01#. That will block the last call, until you remove it. Also, dialing *57 right after the call, will trace the call and send it to your provider's security department. After three such calls, the caller will get a warning from the police.

Same as everyone else, its good to report here, but report to do not call list violations as well

I don't even have any credit cards so how this company has my number I don't know.  I've had it for over 10 years so I know it's not a case of mistaken identity.  I've told them each time to remove me and have been hung up on every time.

I'd happily file a suit against them once we have enough information.  Until then, posting on every board available to warn against their scam is what we need to do.  It is SO tempting to press 1 and tell them not to call again, but DON'T DO IT!!!  It won't stop the calls - most likely it will get worse - and confrontation is what they want.  Most likely a "semi-legitimate" company is behind these calls, and their identity will be revealed soon.  They can run, but they can't hide forever.
