Well looks like he is back at it. My husband has to change his account and dispute a 4.99 charge from Applique LLC. I see from the link someone provided for the starts if CT that the principal was listed as a Christopher Gallo and that Applique was registered in 2/08 and dissolutioned in 11/08. Well watch out! He's back... For 4.99 this time

I have also received a charge from the company associated with the number 1.203.654.7698.  The company's name is APPLIQUE LLC.  I had never heard of this company before I saw my charge on my account.

I also got a charge of $6.87 on my card from Applique, CT. The credit card company said the description was "Student 2008". We disputed it.

A $4.87 charge from Applique LLC 203-6547698 CT showed up on my Corporate Credit Card this month. From all the comments, it sounds like these people have quite a racket going!!

Same thing happened to me.  A couple of months ago there was a similar charge with a different name and number.  My credit card company has removed the charge.  Review your credit card statements monthly and promptly report any unauthorized charge.

My Visa was charged $2.87 on August 19th.  I am disputing it with my card company now.

I haven't received any calls, however, I did have a charge on my bank account from Applique LLC for $6.87.  I do not know where it came from. I am currently deployed to Iraq, so I have no access to any cell phones.  Please help!

No telephone call but did get a charge on my credit card for $4.87.
The credit card fraud department were on it immediately and I closed my card.

The charge was made the same day I bought a book from Barnes and Noble on line

I also just received a charge on my credit card for $4.87.  This is the 3rd type charge in the past 6 months for a small amount, i.e., two charges for $2.87 and now this one.  I have reported all of them and my credit card always reverses the charges and I never have any repurcussions until another one shows up on my credit card again.  Also, this is happening to credit cards I have with the same bank. I wish there was a way to totally stop it.

Hi, I too received a charge on my account from this company for $4.87 on August 14th. I called my bank and canceled my card. This is the 3rd time I've had bogus companies making charges to my account!

I too received a charge on my bank account for "Applique LLC" in the amount of $4.87.  Don't recall receiving any call from the number or purchasing anything.

I also received a charge on my MasterCard for $4.87 from APPLIQUE LLC with this phone number.  I think they charge a small amount expecting most people to just let it go.  I have reported it to the Feds.  I think others should do so also.

I also noticed a charge on my Visa for $2.87 and have no idea who Applique is, I hate to take the time and dispute for such a small amount but will. Funny it is $2.00 less than the others but still the 87 cents. I just tried calling the number and it was busy.....

Just curious - does anyone live in Illinois? I tracked the phone number to New Haven, CT - if you reverse look-up the number Yale University is right there. I think I am going to fill out a report with the police department in my area.

I didn't receieve a call but I was debited $4.87 on August 8th for an account I never use from this Applique LLC...the only company that had that card number was Columbia House DVD club as I didn't use the account for anything else...didn't know if somehow their database got hacked or an employee is having fun with card numbers ;)...maybe someone watched the movie office space and got the idea...

I found the company registered in CT.  It hasn't been registered very long.  My friend had this charge show up on her bank statement in July.

I have had the same company and phone number show up on my account. I belive this company probably scams multiple accounts for small amounts under different company names as I have had similar charges on my credit card in the past months. I finally decided to change my credit card # as it has become an annoyance. Unfortunately because the amounts charged are so small, this company will probably never be investigated.
