Showed up as East Coast Cont on my caller id - let it go to voice mail and there was no message left.

Says it is a wireless caller but it is a telemarketer.  Calls 5 times a day.  I don't pick up because it doesn't look familiar but it is non stop.

BTW, thank for your license so I can report you for your DNC violations to the licensing department as well as DNC.

I am on the DNC list, but you apparently DON"T FOLLOW THE LAW and check BEFORE YOU CALL.  So, on two counts, no message and calling DNC numbers, you are a***oles and I wouldn't give you my business if my life depended on it.

Got a phone call from East Coast Cont.  with a female caller offering chimney service. Told her to take our number off the list, we have no chimney's to clean. Their phone # is from the Meriden, Danbury area (about a one and a half  hour drive from our location). Sounds fishy for sure! There have been known chimney cleaning scam artists in the area in the past.  Please be aware and report any similar calls to authorities.  Help clean out the scam artists! Thank you! Ken

Inaccurate? Slanderous? What a joke!  A company that breaks the law by ignoring the "Do Not Call" directive and continues to call is nobody I want to do business with. The old "We are in your area" should send up more red flags. You jerks just called me twice in the last hour. God bless NOMOROBO and phones with Call Blocking to lessen the effect of law breakers like this company

We are also on the Do Not Call list.  It doesn't seem to do much good.  Sick and tired of all these phone calls.

Dear east coast:

Calling folks who are listed on the federal and state do-not-call lists doesn't exactly help your credibility.  In your shoes, I'd be glad that the elected officials decided to have some mercy and not allow private citizens to sue for violating their express wishes to not be called.

We don't leave messages as we don't feel it would be appropriate to leave a sales offer on your answering machine and when we are in the area we offer our cleanings for 49 since we save on time and gas our regular price is 99 dollars when we aren't close by the day of appointment simply because we can do twice as many jobs when the houses are close together so we pass that savings on to you even on call ins we tell our customers if they are flexible with the date we will only charge 49 on emergency service or if the customer wants us their on a day when our trucks aren't close we tell them we have to charge more however usually we cover every town at least once a week

I don't know why everyone assumes is a scam I used their service they have a home improvement license with them on truck and I checked online it was valid they cleaned my fire place for 53 dollars with tax and are coming back to install caps I originally didn't want the caps because this site said they didn't have a license but when I checked it street they left it was valid

Called and left no message. I will be blocking them now since these fake chimney people have called before.  We have a company we deal with and although these people act like they are them, they are not. Unfortunately they are probably using a fake phone number so it makes it hard to report them.

"Chimney Service" (PH: 203-957-1299) is NOT a registered home improvement contractor with the Dept. of Consumer Protection. They WILL rip you off, if they call you hang up on them or just don't answer.  If they appear at your door, call the police and they will be arrested.  If you are on the DNC list report them to PH: 888-382-1222 and they will be fined.  Just another fly by night scammer after your money.

Got home and this number showed up on my caller ID. No message.  Added to my blocked call list.

Call came in at dinner time so I assumed it was a telemarketer. The young woman said she was from East Coast Contracting, that the company cleaned chimneys and was offering a "half-price special of $49.99" in my area. When I started asking questions about where the company was from (Westport) and who did the work in my area, she hung up on me. I, too, am on the do-not-call list which apparently means nothing to this company.

These people call my home on a regular basis.  I don't answer, just let it go to answering machine.  The one did I did pick up I told them to take my number of their list.  But they still continue to call.

East Coast Contracting out of Westport, CT calls here regularly asking if I want my chimney cleaned.  I have explained why not, that I'm on the do-not-call list, and gotten the we'll-take-you-off-our-list promise several times.  Sometimes just the phone number appears and no one is on the line when I answer.  I'm just about tired of that b**** Brittany disrupting our days and nights.

Caller ID said call was from Cell Phone, I never answer calls from unknown numbers. These peoe call here about once a month, I've told them not to call again, we're on the DNC list. The thing is unless we report them TO the DNC list as violators- they get away with it and keep calling. You'd think with all the technology in this world that there would be a better system...
