A guy called and asked to speak to the owner of the business and when I said no and to pleas remove our number from him calling list - he rudely said "NO I will NOT" and hung up on me.

I have repeatedly asked this company to stop calling my business cell phone.
The calls keep coming.
I wonder if they are linked with the 613-761-4844.
Both numbers trying to peddle the credit card spiel.

I just made a complaint to the CRTC. I sugest you do the same. Like below.
If you're in the States, CRTC is a Canadian government radio and airwaves regulator.
Area code 204 is in the Canadian province of Manitoba, even though the caller could be overseas and mask their number with this one. that's very common.

aggressive credit card payment provider??

I called the NY numbers and was not able to connect my call as I am out side of their service area. I was redirected to the yellow pages for other options. So whoever is calling and saying they are part of this company obviously is not..... Smell a scam for sure.

That makes me sure it is a scam. Thanks for your post..... I would just block them The guy that calls me from this number is a rude individual. I do not understand how being aggressive and disrespectful with potential clients will get them business. I figure they are trying to get information out of people and are saying that they are this merchant services company and they are not.

I get a guy calling under the same number. Selling merchant services.... block them and keep blocking them until they get it?

Get a call from this guy trying to sell merchant services several times a week. Very rude man need to hang up and block him and then he calls from another number. Just keep hanging up and blocking this caller.

I got 4 call within 5 minutes apart. I picked up the first two callas, and whoever it was, it just hung up so I did the same with the other two calls, I picked up and hung up right away.  They haven't called since. Maybe that's the trick to hang up on them before they get to hang up on you.

I think we just had the same girl. I was told she would call me every day.

Called twice within 5 minutes, I answered both times and both time got a computer "beep" and hangs up.
Very annoying.

Call came from a Winnipeg Maaitoba Number supposedly.

This telemarketer phoned us simultaneously on all of our phone lines, twice, in under a minute. Here's how one of the conversations went:

"Yeah, Hi. This is Mohagadie. I'm calling from Canadian Payment Services. I need to speak to either the current owner or the person that's in charge of handling the debit and credit merchant account."

"We don't credit or debit our accounts. Thank you. Bye."

For what it's worth, Mohagadie sounded like a female with an Indian accent. These calls were received at phone numbers located in area code 204, so they appeared to be local calls. The CallerID showed "2042728194" for both the number and for the name.
