called many times

I get a call from this number at least once at day.  I have not answered as it shows
"Out of Area".

Does anyone know who this is?

call on November 18th. Been getting calls from 204-927-2271 and have reported it to the do not call list. Will do the same for this if it continues.

got a call today. women said she was calling on behalf of Toronto Sun . I repeated she stop calling. not interested.

DO NOT CALL US!  We have an elderly mentally challenged man who lives here and this really confuses him and bugs him.

People are saying that its the Globe and Mail,  if that the case,  416-646-8791 is ALSO the globe and mail so complain about that one too.

Answered call from 204-477-0924; calling "on behalf of the Globe & Mail".  I replied with "Do not call again, thank you" and hung up.... so far no further calls.

they call my house every day around 10:00 am. I'm afraid to call the do not call list as that confirms  my number belongs to a real person.

I got a call from 204-477-0924. I believe they called me in the past. If I recall correctly they are a telemarketing firm working on behalf of the National Post. They are trying to sell you a newspaper subscription to the National Post.

Called 9:30 a.m. Monday , Sep.20 from Manitoba. We did not answer.

Calls twice a day, every day.  Does not leave a message.  We never answer.

Last time a newspaper called it was the Vancouver Sun.  I let the kid read off his little script up to the part where he thinks he's signing me up then I said, now you do have a version in braille, right?  I have no idea whether they do or not, but the kid hung up so fast I thought my eardrum might rupture.  That was 5 years ago, and they have not called me since then.

Called my land-line at 14:48 Pacific. I was not home. :-)

I just got this number on my call display -- didn't recognize so didn't answer.  Caller ID is Manitoba.  I live in Abbotsford, BC.

Same here and also from 204-927-2271 Every day around 1PM they call - no message...And I have a cell phone - somehow that number is available to them too? Way to go CRTC for monitoring these types of things!

Got a call from 204-477-0924.  No one says anything on the other end of the line after a few hello's from me.  After about 20 seconds, they hung up.

I get calls from these a**holes too.  No answer...just silence and then hang up.   What's amazing is that they can get away with this annoying bu***hit.  You can call Ma Bell and explain what's going on but Bell gives a s**t.  The "do not call" lists give a s**t.  If you see this number come up on your "call display" and you happen to have an air horn next to your phone, one that gives about a 120 decibel blast.  Or...an emergency whistle is also a good "answering system" for calls like this.   'Nuff said.

This number has called me at least twice a week for the last 5 months. The man who answered sounds drunk or stoned and says he is calling on behalf of the Vancouver Sun. I asked him why when Vancouver is in BC and this number is from Manitoba. He said that they were the head office. I will be calling the Vancouver Sun Monday to report it as well.

I said "hello, thank you for calling our company. We provide pay-by-the-minute language translation service.  To continue, I will require your VISA or MasterCard number".

After a few seconds, the telemarketer hung-up(!) on me.

It is strongly related to 204-927-2271.  Every since that, I had been receiving junk calls.  I don't know how they got my phone number.  Before this call, my phone number is totally clean without tele-marketers.  BEWARE JOB SEEKERS, I think that they are getting your phone numbers from your resume.

Ditto. Annyoing. BUT if you have a digital phone w/a base stationg (e.g. Panasonic), just choose to block the number with 'initial settings'. Worked for me.
