got a call from the same number today...claimed they were my credit card company...said that they were going to decrease my interest rate to 6% and when i asked what my interest rate was before and he hung up...this is a scam...dont give them any detail

Got a call from that # this morning. I never answered because I didn't recognize the #. A reverse phone # search gave me nothing. Whoever it was left a very brief garbled message and it sounded like they were yelling. I then learned that the 204 area code is from Manitoba, Canada where I know absolutely no one. I was receiving calls of this nature a few months ago but from 2 different numbers. This is what I pay for an unlisted # for? I did however, report it to Bell Canada.

I took a call for my wife and the caller, David Roy (heavy Indian accent)(Manitoba area code - but) and he tried to engage me, insisting he would reduce our Visa interest to 6%.  To make a long story short, after many questions from me that he never answered  I ended up talking to his supervisor Brad Martin(also Indian accent) by which time I had accessed this site (consumer credit advocate - user feedback). I started reading the responses (didn't let him interrupt) and asked if he would like me to read him several more.  Of course he said no and that shut him up and he hung up.
I suspect they are actually calling from India but it doesn't matter.  I still don't know exactly what their scam is but that doesn't matter either!  Try the above for a giggle or just hang up on them

I got the same call, but I did not give any info.  I was told that because I pay my balances on time I qualified for a lifetime rate of 6% .  I asked what credit card they represented and was told visa and mastercard.  I called one of my credit card companies and was told that since I did not give out any personal info, I shouldn't be worried.

All I did was verify I paid my balances in full and on time.  I sure hope there isn't any kind of phone fraud involved with this.

Got a call from this number today.  Same old sad story of being from Visa AND Mastercard.  Like two rivals would ever work together and ask for identifying information over a phone with an East Indian accent.  I may be blond but not f'ing stupid.

Hi this company called me and said they would send me info on increasing my limit and decrease my interest rate (I should have known better when we have never had to pay interest cause we always paid our bills on time) they got info from me because I thought they were calling on behalf of Pc financial the scary part is they had most of my info on file yikes!!!! Right away I called Pc Financial and they said never give that info over the phone because They Pc financial will never ask for it.  It sounds really official the person I was dealing with was supposedly named Veronica Matthew( she has an Indian Accent )  and the name of the company is Platenium Enterprise. They are very smooth please always go with your gut and never ever give info out no matter what I was lucky as I called in time and they did not take any money.

Don't deal with those as hole, they are fu... theft  and they charge my 299 $ on my credit caed and I cancel my credit card right after that and they call me a wek after because they tried to take more money and I told them that I wanted a refund and the person told me that the customer care will call me back within 24 hours and they never did. I call the 2 numbers I have and they told me that tey are a construction company and they are the same  peoples that I sopke with f***... indian peoples. I call the same number before and I spoke with someone presuming bedford financial sevices.

They just called me saying I was paying too high lower interest rates. This guy was not about to take no for an answer even when I started interrogating HIM. He told me he was calling from VISA and tried to "confirm" my address.

I said I was not comfortable answering these questions on the phone and as I was hanging up on him I heard him say he would send me a letter (yeah, right...) CLICK!!

Had the same happen last week to me I imediately got off the phone and cancelled my cards, and now a week later they are still calling me,

My mother just recieved a call from this phone number, and was seconds away from giving them her information before I cut in. This is a SCAM I sat on the line with them for a good 10 min telling them off and asking them how they sleep at night, because of these scams. He listened to me, and stayed on the line.. what legit costumer service agent would listen to someone tell them off?

They ask for the exp. date of your card, and then the *7 digits on the back of the card next to the signature. We are smarter then this, everyone is smarter then these people... please beware, and report this number!

the guy i talked to and gave a hard time told me his home phone number was 403-648-9218... i'm going to call his house everyhour all night long until he changes his number... everyone should do the same i was giving him a hard time and he told me i couldn't talk to him like that cause the call was being recorded so i told him good.. i don't give a $%$#. So everyone call this guy at home and wish him a merry f'n christmas....lol

204-975-9511 called himself Eric Samuels Ext. #236 called me and wanted to lower the interest rates on my Visa and Mastercard.  He said he needed only the credit cards that weren't maxed out.  He wanted me to verify the information he had so he wanted me to read him my credit card numbers and tell him what my credit limits were.  I told him to read it back to me and I would tell him if he had the correct information.  Then he couldn't even tell me where in Manitoba he was located.  I didn't give him any information at all.  I then hung up and called the number back and they answer the phone stating that the business is called "PLATINUM BUSINESS ENTERPRISES."  This is probably a scam, don't give them any information.
