OK, so I called the jail and upon my arrival back to town I am going to have to file a report for them to begin the investigation. I have had 11 calls since November. The only phone the deputy said that this could be done with is the 'one call' phone. That it was highly unlikely I could be getting so many repeat calls and it be legit. His advice was to not give out your card info without talking to your provider first. I will post when I know more.

I get these calls all the time and I know for a fact that I know no one in Jeff county jail. This, to me, seems like a scam. Too many are having the same issue. Has anyone tried calling the jail itself to see? I guess I should try that. I imagine they keep records..

You never know one of your relatives may have been arrested in birmingham, al this is a rip off state, please accept the call you never know, I just left I had a warrant from 2006 that I had forgotten about. Actually the day I was to appear in court, I was in california burying my mother 01/12/2006. I realy had forgotten, I was stopped on my way to work 10.320/12 and taken to jail. The sad part is I did not have a court date until 12/06/12 so I paid the 1400.00 to get out, bham is a MONEY STATE if the ELECTED OFFICIALS would stop STEALING THE MONEY.....how are you suppose to pay when locked up.

I get collect calls from this number at least once a week, I'm sick of it. I know its coming from the jail in Birmingham.  I DONT KNOW ANYONE IN JAIL AND THEY NEED TO LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from this number like five seconds ago and it said i couldn't accept because i don't have pre pay account and i don't kno who would be calling from alabama because my family lives in florida, california, and south carolina
