Just tell them to send out the packet of tickets or whatever, they send it UPS and just refuse it. It costs them money and next time they won't call. Oh, when they call to ask why you refused the packet, say - oh my was that from you? send it again please! repeat

After a few thousand of UPS fees they will go pound sand.

I've contacted the local sheriff's dept who told me the NEVER solicit funding via telephone.    Whomever it is doing this donates about 2 percent of received funds to law enforcement, to prevent being sued for fraud, pocketing the rest for crack and ho's.  It's a scam.  I have learned to let the phone ring.  Don't bother me.  They just want you to get pissed enough to answer the phone, showing that there's someone at the number.

Unless you are a lawyer, just write these con men off as fishermen of the gullible.

After answering a call from this number, it was in fact the  sheriffs assoc. wanting money. I told them that donate locally and to remove me from the list. NOw , after 2 years, I am down to receiving only 2 calls per day. Just one of the plights we seem to be forced to endure in this free society.

205-259-1364 has called our home number for YEARS almost DAILY and sometimes TWICE or more!  They have another number, 205-259-2092 which also calls almost daily.  We answered the first time they called back in 2006.  "1364" is supposedly the "Alabama Sheriff's Association" and "2092" is Alabama Fireman's Association", yet neither can be confirmed.  I think they're both scams.  They call outside the 205 area code because people within that area can simply block their number(s).  The phone company says there's "nothing that can be done."

calls several times a day. the only messages left is someone breathing into the answering machine. when we answer the calls the same thing happens. We would like for this to stop, this is called HARASSMENT!!!!!

I'm getting these calls every day, twice a day as well. What M Gilmore doesn't understand is that there is NO ONE ON THE LINE to speak with. It's a robot that's calling and hanging up EVERY TIME, usually after only one or two rings. Attempts to call this number result in my phone cutting off - almost like it shuts my phone off when I dial the number.  The point is, there has to be SOME RECOURSE for consumers to block these calls. This is my #%&*@! cell phone, people! I don't have time for this! Does anyone know how to reach these bastards at Alabama Sheriff's Association?!? I'm pretty sure this is a scam anyway.

OK FIRST. TELL THEM YOU MAY LIKE TO DONATE AT A LATER DATE. ASK FOR THEIR ADDRESS TO THE FACILITY. THEN EITHER GOOGLE EARTH THE LOCATION AND CALL THE NUMBER IT GIVES FOR THAT ADDRESS DEMANDING TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST THE OWNER OF THAT ( PO-BOX OR MAILING ADDRESS ) FACILITY. I MYSELF MAY DRIVE 1+ HOURS TO FIND THIS PLACE TO DEMAND THE OWNERS OR LAW ENFORCES HAVE A CHAT WITH MY ATTORNEY. MAYBE SOME LAWSUITS WILL STOP THEM FROM HARRASSING PEOPLE. CALLING DAILY AFTER BEING TOLD NOT TO IS A CRIME (HARRASSMENT). SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE FREE LONG DISTANCE AND COSTS TO EVEN ANSWER IT. SO YES EVERY REVOLT AGAINST THAT NUMBER AND POST THE LOCATION / MAILING ADDRESS IF ANYONE GETS IT PLEASE !

Some people don't realize that our law enforcement wouldn't be able to function properly if they didn't get donations-our tax money is being wasted on stupid,unnecessary people and items,and they have no choice.Instead of getting mad,why not answer and tell them (in a nice voice)that you can't give at this time and please remove your number from their list(or,heaven forbid-actually contribute).I'm sure they have better things to do than call the same numbers all the time,and they are being made to do this.If someone needed their services,I'm sure that they would rather have a sheriff properly trained with the equipment they need to help them out.They put their lives on the line for all of us.There are worse injustices in the country to get mad about.Thank you.

I get calls from this number DAILY - on two different lines. Shows up on caller ID as either 'Unavailable' or 'Unknown' They never say anything so I've learned to just let it ring. There is a procedure to report annoyance calls such as this, have it traced and blocked, and possibly prosecute the offender and I'm ready to begin using it.

These people call at least a half dozen times a day and leave no messages. They are NOT the sheriff's department. They are a group who supposedly raises money to help the sheriff's department. I seriously doubt they help anyone. DO NOT give them money.

How can we have this stopped?  I received a call from them today also but he asked for a different person than myself (last name was right).  Informed this person that he had the wrong number & hung the hell up.

Repeated calls, almost to the point of DEMANDING contributions. They have been informed of my ill health and still insist that I give money. Whenenver my grown daughter has answered the phone they have asked for me then refuse to identify themselves and immediately hang up. I would like all contact from these people and the organizations they represent to STOP.

There is a place on their web site to write a review. I suggest that we all write a review. Maybe it will get their attention and expose them for who they are!

Someone said it might be from the jail?  They are relentless at calling.

I just recived a call from the same number. He didn't even give me his name or the reason for calling. Very depressing voice. That's the second call. I'm tired of that!!!

This number is "Public Sagety Inc." They are NOT "non profit".

It is not the police or sheriff calling. It is a company that makes calls to solicit funds for the police and firefighters. They call for donations and they take a certain percentage of the donations for themselves. They are NOT sponsored by the police of firefighters. They collect donations.....take what they want...then give what's left to the polce or firemen...and that keeps them legal.

I received a call today 09/09/22, approx 6:30 PM, I answered and nothing. I checked my caller ID and got the number (205-259-1364) an called it back twice. Each time I got a phone company recording saying that number was not in service. I am thinking it is someone calling thru Internet lines from a computer and has listed that number as their computer ID, which is not correct.  Should not be people from Fire or Police Association calling and hanging up!
