Received this call on my cell phone.  This is the number i have written on my checks.  I did have a returned check.  This is a nextcheck number.  They left a message, it was not a recording, it was an actual person.  I called back and yes, I did have a returned check.  The lady was very nice and it working with me on getting them the money.  If they call and leave a message you do need to call back, it is important, and from my experience, are very willing to work with you on getting there money.

They keep calling looking for my EX-Daughter-in-law, she has never lived at this address. I don't know how they got my number or why they keep calling, even thoughwe have told them time and again we don't know her whereabouts.

Calls my home daily looking for someone i've never heard of. I have called them repeatedly to try to get them to understand this person is not on my number. apparenlty, they do not believe me. Is there anything we as consumers can do to make them stop calling MY number...?

Wednesday, October 1, 2008, 10:55 AM CDT:  Received a call again from this company, trying to contact a person who lived in our house almost ten years ago!  BLATANTLY ILLEGAL COLLECTIONS ACTIVITY BY THIS COMPANY:  It is obvious that they are searching the internet for this debtor and calling the current telephone number connected to one of the debtor's old addresses.  (It seems they conduct their desperate internet searches the first week of each month.)  When I called the company (NexCheck) this morning, the rep told me that my telephone number was not even in their database, so they could not remove it!  The rep tried to deny that my number had been called, even after I told her that I had *69'd (i.e., electronically identified) her company's number!!  REALLY FOLKS . . . HOW CAN WE EFFECTIVELY EXPOSE AND STOP THESE CROOKED NUISANCES ONCE AND FOR ALL?!!

Receiving collection calls for a person who lived in our house almost ten years ago!  Our phone number is new and has never been connected to this address before.  We even have a different family name from the person being called!  This company is searching based on our address and calling us anyway, out of desperation, knowing our name is different from the debtor's name.  Surely, this is not even allowed legally!  When I called the company, the rep repeatedly denied that they had searched on the address, and tried to claim that our phone number was an old phone number given by the debtor -- absolutely a total lie!!

You are calling number 937-212-3405 this is not the person you are looking for.   They called our office for help.    You are to cease from calling immediately.   If not further action will be taken by our office.

This call is from a company called NexCheck.  They are a collention agency for companies that receive a returned check (NSF) from people.
