Here is where I am with this. You will no longer be able to contact me at this email address after today. I contacted my lawyer also. You can contact me at jharper51770@gmail.com for further correspondence. You must provide me with paperwork with the original creditor and dollar amount. Others have been able to provide this and they got paid. You can not threaten to prosecute the reference I used, they did not co-sign nor do they have any financial ties to me what so ever! Cash Advance USA, if I'm not mistaken is the place that came into my account and took $30 without my permission. Now, I'm sure Cash Advance USA is the big wide web of loans but their is another name to the loans taken, like perhaps thinkcash, or eastside lenders, or plain green or 24/7 loans, American web, ameriloan , Cashyes and so on....which are all illegal. Please email the paperwork. There is also something called due process in the USA. Until I receive any paperwork from you, I consider myself not contacted. You should have my home address as well as my phone number if indeed this is a legit loan as I have been scammed in the past where a $500 loan became a $10,000 which in turn has been turned over to Homeland Security and the FBI. I have dealt with enough creditors to know.

Thank you

This is a scam artist trying to coerce you into paying money by making false claims. He gives you a phony name (private crime investigations) and tries to create fear and make it seem that you did something wrong, when it is him that is doing something wrong! Why do people exist like this that prey on others? Very sad.
Caller: Private crime investigations
Call Type: Prank Call/ now he says his NAME IS RONNY KESSLER

BUT HE ALSO SHOW LAST FOUR NUMBERS OF SOCIAL

HE IS IDENTITY THEFT ..... PEOPLE BE CAUTIOUS.......HIS EMAIL ...F.C.I.RKESSLER@GMAIL.COM

Hi,

If you remember, when you applied for this loan, you applied online on an internet and just by typing few words on computer, you got some dollar amount in your hard times. But in excitement of getting those funds you never made any attempts to read out the contract or to download it, where in clause no. 5 it was clearly mentioned that company will not be communicating by their end. That means it will be your duty to pay the loan back at regular intervals but you failed to do that so as of now rather than chasing you for the money they have simply decided to write this money as loss deeming it to be stolen as well press charges against you of Financial Fraud, now these case is turned over to a fraudulent case. So company wants to prosecute you and make you pay $ 9, 583.67 as a penalty.

As I informed you company has done all the paper works and reminder with you but you never responded so I am too done here.

The amount is just under the $10,000.00 reporting limit.  It is designed to stay under the radar.  Absolute scam.  I just send the emails to spam. Same guy, Robert Williams, United Payday One.

A Collection Agent May Not?

Here are the top 11 actions prohibited by the The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act:

Misrepresent Him or Herself

A debt collector may not misrepresent himself as an attorney or law enforcement officer.

Use the Telephone to Annoy or Harass

A collection agent may not cause a telephone to ring or engage any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with an intent to annoy, abuse, or harass anyone at the called number.

Threaten Arrest or Lawsuit

A collection agent may not threaten a consumer with arrest. It may not threaten legal action that is either not permitted or not actually contemplated. In other words, a the threat of a lawsuit may be an empty one.

Use Abusive or Threatening Language

A debt collector may no use abusive or profane language in the course of communication related to the debt.

Publish a Bad Debt List

Publishing the consumer?s name or address on a "bad debt" list is prohibited.

Contact By Embarrassing Media

A debt collector may not communicate with a consumer by post card. It may not use any language or symbol, other than the debt collector?s address, on any envelope when communicating with a consumer by use of the mails or by telegram. A debt collector may use its business name if such name does not indicate it is in the debt collection business.

Contact a Consumer at Work

A collection agent may not communicate with consumers at their place of employment after being told this is unacceptable or prohibited by the employer.

Seek Unjustifiable Amounts

A debt collector may not demand any amounts not permitted under an applicable contract or as provided under law.

Contact a Consumer Represented by an Attorney

A collection agent may not contact a consumer after it learns the consumer is represented by a lawyer.

Communicate With a Consumer After Receiving a Validation Request

If a consumer sends a written §1692g response within 30 days, the collection agent may not communicate with the consumer until it mails the consumer the requested verification of original creditor's name and address.

Communicate With Third Parties

A debt collector may not reveal or discuss the nature of a consumer?s debts with third parties other than the consumer?s spouse or attorney. A collection agent may contact neighbors or co-workers only to obtain location information. It may contact a third party again if it has reason to believe the information the party provided previously is false.

Bills.com FDCPA FAQ

Below are questions Bills.com readers ask frequently:

Can a Collection Agent Call My Cell Phone?

Yes. However, if you tell the debt collector it may not use that number because it is a cell phone, it may not contact you again at that number.

I Keep Receiving Dozens of Calls From Collection Agents. Is That Legal?

No. Unscrupulous collection agents will use "block parties" or "office parties" where they contact a consumer, multiple neighbors, or co-workers telling them they need to reach the consumer on an urgent matter. This is not permitted under the FDCPA.

A Collector Says I Will Be Arrested if I Do Not Pay

This was a true statement before the US Civil War, but has not been true since. People may be arrested if an aggressive judge files a bench warrant for a person who does not appear at a hearing relating to a lawsuit regarding a debt. However, in that case, the offense is the failure to respond to a court order, and not the existence of the debt. As stated above, it is illegal under the FDCPA to threaten a consumer with arrest if the consumer does not pay the debt.

I have received 6 emails from a Robert Williams.  His last email he left this # 205-265-6897 . I have asked several times the name of his company but he refuses to disclose the information. Here is an example of one of his last emails:
Hi,
Since your case is already downloaded and going to be executed inside the court we have sent the legal papers to county of Sheriff's Office, 12240 NE Glisan St, , you will be receiving the legal paper works by your local authorities to take you inside the court with the criminal allegations and you will end up by paying $ 9583.67 either by selling any of your personal assets or properties, as that's the last option you have left for us.  Along with you the two references will be prosecuted and also have to face consequences.
This is also to inform you that As this loan was provided to you against your pay checks so my client Cash Advance USA has all the rights and authorities to inform your employer about this case and what shall be the results and the consequences once the case is downloaded and executed with the judgments against you.
Also non repayment of loans will be reported by my client to the 3 major credit bureaus causing severe damage to your credit score. (In additions, by the time you decide to pay off your loans, lender rarely reports the repayment to credit bureaus. If this happens, it will be hard for you to qualify for other loans.)

Thanks,

This guy claims to be from United Pay-Day Loans by the name of Robert Wiliams and uses a Magicjack number (which I know individuals use not be traced).  Has my SS#, phone number and email and has threatened to take me to court as well as the two individuals who signed for me.  There has to be something done about these individuals who do this.  I can start with a Better Business report and see where that takes me.

Called work number every single day for several months, then stopped for a few months, then started calling back. I am the receptionist at that number and is very frustrated. You can barely understand the man for his accent is so heavy and sounds as if he shares a dozen teeth with his mom and dad. Today he has called over 200 times back to back trying to get a hold of an employee who was not here. When told employee was not here, he started screaming on the phone with a whole bunch of profanities. This man is obviously a fraud trying to say you have a lawsuit even if you don't. Don't trust this man, he is only after your money. He probably lives in the basement of his mother's house. Has been identified as a "'officer' James Warren" and a "Ronnie Harper"
