This company is a scam. T-Mobile turned over a bogus account to another collection agency. When I disputed the claim they sold it to Amsher.

I've found three agents to be horribly rude, to wish me to fall prey to their bating tactics, and to be entrapped in their undisclosed rules (for example, if you ask them not to call every day, then without your knowledge they make an entry that you requested them to "cease and desist."  this sends your case to legal for a law suit against you.)
They want you to set up a payment plan that costs $9.00 per pmt.  the only way out of the $9.00 fee is to mail in the pmt.  the catch-22 here is that they say mailing it in means you refused to set up a payment plan and this places you in refused to pay status, and your file is sent to lawsuit.  To complicate matters they could not tell me they would process the check in a timely manner.
Each call has been a horrible and unnerving experience. I spoke with a manager and now, allegedly, have a new plan set up with them whereby i send monthly payments by mail, they do not call daily and my account is (in their jargon) "routed through a manager" instead of being in their daily calling pool.   I believe the manager allowed this because our conversation was without emotion and courteous (although I desperately wanted to lambast their whole organization.)
Perhaps this will help someone out there.  It was like pulling teeth to get this info, so don't let it go to waist!

This number calls me everyday asking for someone i dont know! I have had my numer for over a year and have never had that person live with me and i have asked them to stop calling and they wont!

Beware...they have a new number.  I've been getting calls from 205-313-2588.  Same tactics, same method, but I refused to give them info 'til they told me what the matter is concerning.  They said they could not give me any info until I verified my name, DOB and Social Security.  Even called me by a different name!  What is this anyway?

they call my home phone, then my cell phone, several times a day..almost every day.  Never leave a message.  When I answer - they hang up.  It's nothing short of harassment.  Seems to me that a collection agency would at least leave a message and say WHY they are calling ?

I get this call all the time...never have answered it or returned the call. Likely a collection agency.

I called this number back after being awaken by a ringing phone at 8 am. I made them identify themselves to me this is a collection agency called AmShare and I still do not know who they were calling on behalf of, but 8 am is a ridiculous time to be making phone calls to someone period. I am home on maternity leave about to give birth any day. This is stupid.

i keep getting calls from this number non-stop.  i have never answered it because since it is long distance i'll get charged by my cell phone provider.  it's been going on for several weeks now

I thought there was a death in my family intially... BE VERY AWARE of these scams.

Yep.....jut got a Saturday 8AM call from these idiots. Same thing....rude person, would not tell what they were calling about until I "verified" some information....yadda, yadda, yadda.

Told them to stop calling and remove my name from their list....got the "very important matter" song and dance....told them "tough stuff"....send me written correspondence if it is so important and if it is legit I will address it.

Amsher is a collection agency for UAB Hospital..

Yeah, collection agency.  Told them they can't squeeze blood from a stone as I've not had a job in over six months.  When I went in to the emergency room for my heart attack in February I was hooked up to an ECG for half an hour and misdiagnosed with GERD; got charged 748.47 for this, signed a document saying that I had no ability to pay, and went home.  First I started getting calls at 8am from a number with no number.  I'd answer and no one would respond until about the fourth time when I finally got told that it was a collection agency.  I informed them that I had no money and no job, thus I could not pay.  Called again today and that's when I told them they were trying to squeeze blood from a stone.  No job is no job and I don't give a damn if someone owes me money - if they don't have work, they can't pay me back.  Sorry, but that's how life works; if they get a job, sure, I'll expect to be paid back.  Otherwise, I just go about my business, you know what I'm sayin'?  I'm not just going to magically pull money out of a hat no matter how many times they call me, it just won't happen, so they can do themselves a favor and be quiet until an employer decides to pay me for my experience and degree.

I have no business with any org called by this name.
If they are a collection agency, they need to tell me that, and not try to get my DOB or SS#.
In these times of identity theft, it's stupid to ask this from people, and ignorant to expect intelligent people to fall for this.

They are just damned rude. Call up and ask who you are without identifying themselves. I will keep hanging up on them as long as they call and ask is this so and so. They get irate if I ask them who is calling!! What the f^%&?

I have been receiving calls from this number for about 2 months now and they wont give me any info about who they are and the (I use the term loosly) lady on the other end is always rude as h*ll even after I informed her that it is my right as a US citizen to not give her my DOB and SS# to verify who I am when she is the one that called me. Even ruder after I verified by spelling my name and address. these ppl should be shut down.

They called me. Said it was an important personal businees matter and needed my birthdate & SS#. I said she called me and I would not give out that info to a stranger and hung up. They have not calledback for 2 days now. But I must admit I am curious what they are up to. I have no outstanding bills in collection so it must a scam. Probably phishing for ID or coning into paying a non-existant bill.

called late one evening, and said my number was a reference number for someone they are looking for.  Turns out the name they gave me is my ex-husband, and I KNOW he would never give this number. told them I couldn't help them and hung up, so they started calling numerous times daily from other (205) numbers, but never leave any message.  I just don't pick up calls from this area code any more.

The phone calls come every day and at least 8 to 10 times a day.  No one answers when I do pick up and the message says to call back an 800 number.  The man that did answer told me it was Amshare.  He stated it was regarding me and my son ( gave his name and mine).  He stated he had my last four of my ss# and needed to verify my date of birth to discuss anything else.  I would not give it to him.  Stated he could tell me what he has and I would verify if it was correct.  He would not.  I asked him to stop calling my phone and he stated that he could not.  If anyone finds out a way to make them stop calling please post it.  I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to know.

They by law must stop calling once you have called them, you need to follow up with a cease contact letter by certified mail. If they contact you after that you file a complaint with the federal fair debt collections act, and if they continue you can sue them. Here is a link to a company that will help you fight back if your in the position of being able to sue them. This way they could end up paying you. These kinds of zombie debt collectors are the absolute scum of the planet and need to be stopped.

I've been recieving these phone calls as well, identical in every way to the other posts. I finally called back to tell them to stop calling. The woman I spoke to said it was a collection agency for a medical bill and knew my information and how much the medical bill was for all the time being very harrassing towards me. I tried telling her the problem with the bill and she said to take that matter up with the hospital. She continued to be a b***h  and then hung up on me which is illegal for collection agencies to do. I called back to get more information on them to report them and then proceeded to call the hospital about the problem with the bill and told the very nice gentlman I was speaking to that the collection agency was harrasing me. Came to find out that my bill was never sent to collections and that the hospital doesn't even use that collection agency nor had he even heard of them. Needless to say, I'm pissed and now trying to figure out who they really are, how much info they have on me, and what, if any, damage they've caused.

I just got a call from Amsher with a caller ID 205-313-2624, They only identified themselves as Amsher and stated they had important business with someone that had my name.  They then proceeded to ask some very personal questions to attempt to identifiy me without giving me any information about themselves or what they wanted with me.  I did not give them any information and since they had called my government employers number I asked them to identify who and what they are and what their busines was, they refused and hung up the phone.
