GOT CALLED SAID " POA GEORGIA" - WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO IT IS AND WHY??

Calls 2-3 a day...first would just hang up...now has started leaving messages where they grunt or long sigh on voicemail comes up on caller I.d. as POA Georgia...looked up #to found this blog site and discovered same scam calls receiving last year but changed up their tactics a bit...have several friends that are GA police officers...ask for their badge number and precinct...they'll hang up real quick because this is fake!

POA Georgia called again! No one ever talks, they just hang up on me....drives me nuts! The next time they call, i'm going to say something REALLY derogatory!

This phone number call my elderly aunt a lot, and it is very anoying to someone who has trouble getting around.  We do not answer the call and they will not leave a message on the answer phone. We feel that it is a sham and they are fishing for information. BE CAREFUL OF ANYTHING YOU TELL THEM!

Received call from POA Georgia 2:41 PM on October 3, 2010. The caller identified himself as a police officer (no last name, no preceinct number-red flag #1). He said it is time to get children fingerprinted and IDs for missing children. He spoke with confidence and authority. He asked for a donation. He even asked me if I was good and staying out of trouble. LOL Shady and sketchy call all around-WEIRDO.

Calls 3 - 5 weekly. Does not leave message on machine. We're on Do Not Call list.

Get this call all the time. No one says anything and you can't call back! I have enough to do without running to check my phone every 5 minutes!

This number keeps coming up on my caller ID. It does no do any good to be on the Do Not Call Registry. These idiots still call !

I got a phone call today that said POA Georgia.  When I picked up they asked for me by my maiden name.  I said yes? and they hung up.  Looked up the number and it comes from Alabama.

Called me but I  did not answer because I do not know who or what "POA" is.  Would not leave  message on my answering machine. What can be done to stop these calls? I am on the national do not call list.

These folks claim to be the Police Officers Association. A total scam that tries to get people to contribute money to the families of fallen police officers. No police agency uses telemarketers. I called the giuy a scammer and said he should be ashamed of himself. he was not too pleased with that.

Received the call from (205) 402-4696 while I was on another call - came up on phone as "POA Georgia" - Call was from Alabama?????????

Recieve this call daily.  It's annoying.  POA Georgia.

This number is a land line out of Birmingham, AL. I am on the "DO NOT CALL" list, but still get these annoying calls.

Just received a call from POAGEORGIA 205-917-5663. They asked for my mother by name. I told him that she was not home. Then he asked if my dad was home (who has been deceased for 21 years). I told him that my dad is deceased and asked if I could take a message. He say he would call back and hung up. Tried to call the number back. The recording stated, "This number cannot be reached".

whenever you get a call from this number and you try to call back - all you hear is "we sorry you have reached a number than can not reached from this special phone"

Received call from same creepy voiced male,asked for me by name when I asked who was calling he hung up!!
Needs to be put away!How do we stop all these annoying calls?
I am on do not call list and have reported to local telephone company.Block numbers and they call with a different number.Something needs to be done...........

Got a phone call right now, deep creepy voice asked for a person at my home, I said "which one" and he hanged up on me!!!  WTF? WHO is this? telemarkerter? This is bull, bordering on harassment, and should be illegal. Please find out who this is and put them in jail or fine them huge!
