When I asked them if they were actually associated with Google they avoided the question.   Then I let them finish their pitch before saying I would pay their $399.00 to do my listing, if they provided the name of the company, web address and business license so I can check them out first.  

I then asked why they told me I would have my business removed on Google, if my business was listed on Google places in December?  

Guess what, they hung up.  Surprise!

It's a plant of a company called MidSouth in Birmingham, AL. They harassed me until I had my lawyer contact their supervisor. It was a last resort, but they held out. I suggest you contact the supervisor as well so it doesn't continue. The main plant is located in Florida and they were horrified at the harassment; they need to know about this. You just call the number back, ask for customer support, then ask to be transferred to a supervisor.

No message left.  When is this harassment going to stop?

Receive a call from this number from time to time.  No one on the other end.

Another one of those stupid "update your google listing" crap. Tells you to press 1 to speak witha n agent and press 2 to be removed from list. Well I pressed 2 and of course I wasn't removed their list, the automated b****h on the other end kept on going. I just kept pressing 2 and eventually the line disconnected. I cannot stand these losers.

I get these calls all the time from people claiming to be from Google and saying my company page hasn't been claimed when I know for a fact it has.  I tell them they have to call Bob at the SEO company I hire to take care of this.  They usually hang up after that because that's what they are trying to sell you.

We have a Crook Co in Oregon, its not so far fetched:-) These b*****ds call me as well, not sure how many times but its been more than a couple. I like your method and will try it next time... Typically I have to answer with my business name and do so professionally but these telemarketers and leftists have been hounding my phone constantly to a ration of 10:1....  1 business call for each 10 solicitors, this $hit has to stop.

Got called yesterday and today; no one answers when I pick up.

Oops, I meant to type "Crook County Police Department"  not office.  And say it fast so they don't quite catch the word "crook", which is what they are!!!  They are not going to take a chance that they may have dialed the police.  It worked for me though, I have not gotten calls in a very long time!

For all incoming numbers you don't know just answer your phone "Crook County Police Office, how can I help you" and they hang up.  I don't get calls anymore!!

When I get calls like this I use every phone line I can spare to call them repeatedly and leave them on hold until the call finally is dropped.. If we all used up their phone lines maybe it would stop.

Caller I.D. says SR.  The JERKS made a long robocall that I could not disconnect.

This place has called me before but didn't leave any message. They are doing it again. Not picking up any calls with numbers that I don't recognize. If it's so urgent, they would leave me a message. After all, I do have a voice mail box.

Called wireline. Left no message.

Hang-up call.  ID reads "SR."

called the ashats back, got someone on the phone and blasted them with my little airhorn..OH the satisfaction.

Scammer called and hung up when I asked for a legal name and physical address.

When you get those calls and your number is in Do not call database, ask caller what is the name of the company they calling from. They will give you some name. Then , ask them what is they website and physical address. This is when they normally hangup. Do not forget to report all these calls to donotcall  website.

It calls our office but there isn't anyone on the line when we answer.

I got the call - answered knowing full well that it was a scam.  

Approximately 1 year ago, I purchased call blocking phones for my office and for my home.  I bought a Uniden office phone for my business and Panasonic wireless for my home. Since that time, telemarketer calls have (disappointingly) dropped to the point that, when I do receive telemarketer calls,  I enjoy effing with them.

Unfortunately, no one was there!  PLEASE call back...but if you do, your call will be blocked!

From 'SR' .... appears to be a scam call.  First time I've gotten a call from this number ... whomever it is must have changed their calling number.

Called and did not transfer to an extension through the automated attendant.

Recorded message that I will now block.  God I hate those Robo-calls!

Caller ID indicates "SR". We have received repeated calls from this number. I finally called back.

Message identified itself as "Kate, a Google Plus Local Specialist". The call is to check the status of your Google Plus business website. You have options to press 1 to speak to a live specialist, or press 2 to be removed from their listing.

I pressed 2, since these calls are happening on my residential line. Another message then prompted me to chose whether my "business" has a website (press 1), or no website (press 2). No option to remove me from their list?

I then called back, pressed 1 to speak to a live specialist. There finally was an option for those who do not have a business to press 9 to be removed and then hang up. After pressing 9, I was disconnected from the call.

We'll see if that does the trick?
