My 89 year old Mother was called by this number and said that they were from the SS office and needed her banking information. We closed her accounts before they could do anything, but they still have all of her information.

Got a call saying something like 'this is a message from card holder services. There is no problem with your account.' Then the automated system hung up. Good to know they needed to call me to tell me there wasn't a problem.

205-440-1003 is in the Birmingham, AL area. supposedly trying to get information from elderly. You can block this area code on your phone if you do not receive other calls from the 205 area code that you wish to receive like relatives etc.

This number has been calling us for several days. Some man says
"if you are a senior citizen" and I hang up. I have tried calling the
number and a recording says this number is not in service! I am
going to report it to the FTC and the Do Not Call Registry. Jerks like
this should be fined and their number or calling ability canceled. Where
did they get my number in the first place? Whomever gave it should also
be fined.

Annoying..They are pitching a medical alert type device that a "senior" can push a button and get emergency help. They mention no particular company in their recording. After many calls..sometimes several a day..that I hung up on, I finally listened to to whole recording and then pushed the button to speak to a person...who I told off. I'll bet it doesn't work. No call lsit doesn't seem to stop these guys. Maybe next time I'll bet a dog whistle and blow it when the sale person comes on line.

Thanks for the info. As for DNCR I keep getting a message " number not valid" when I try to list my cell phone with them. Why is that when I use my phone everyday and pay for the use of it every month.

Telemarkerter called and it was a recording. Annoying calls from this number . When I tried to call the number back to ask them to refraim for calling my number again, I got a message that it was a disconnected number. Figure that>>>>>
